It's about 2:30 in the morning, at least it was the last time I checked, and I'm currently sitting in the police station with Ariana.
So much has happened in the last couple hours, I feel insanely tired.
But not tired enough to leave her alone.
Mother still doesn't know and I don't think I'm going to tell her. She'll worry too much and that's the last thing I need right now.
"Ariana Grande?" A female police officer calls out while looking at a clipboard.
Ariana's head slowly lifts up but I don't think she's registered in her mind that it was her turn to go.
"Do you want me to come with you?" I whisper gently into her ear.
She nods her head up and down profusely and grabs my hand.
"Okay." I help her stand up and we follow the police officer.

"Thank you for your help." I shake hands with the officer and she gives me a warm smile.
I lead Ariana out, who's still as silent as a mouse, and open the car door for her.
She slowly slides in and it kills me to see the pain in her eyes, the pain that she's experienced just a couple hours ago. The pain that shes never deserved to have.
I close the door and hop into the drivers seat.
"So, would you like me to call your mom now?" I place my hand on her shoulder as a comforting gesture but she just shrugs it off.
"I'll take that as a no then." I say under my breath.
She still has no reaction, she hasn't faced me once in maybe 30 minutes.
I can't just start the car like this, I need her to tell me something, anything. I just can't handle the silence anymore.
I drop my hands from the steering wheel and slide my foot off of the gas petal.
"You don't wanna go home, do you?"
She shakes her head dryly.
"So, do you want me to bring you back to Hayvenhurst?"
A few seconds pass by until she nods, her face may finally be expressing emotion for the first time since we were in the bathroom.
"All right." I say and slide my hands back onto the wheel, my foot pushes down on the gas pedal and soon we're on our way back to Hayvenhurst.

We're nearing to my home and from the distance, I can see all the lights are off through the windows.
People awake is something we don't need right now.
I park the car in front of the house and get out to open the door for Ariana.
She steps out and I notice that she's handling herself well from the..uh..past events.
I lock my car and hold onto her tightly but gently, I fumble with the keys before finally sticking it into the keyhole and unlocking the door.
