CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT: THE DRESSED TRUTH

24 10 10

“She’s taking a revenge for her sister...”

“Sister?” I asked. Zarina has no sister, or mayroon pero hindi ko lang alam? I gulped.

“Yes.”

“And who is s-she?” I asked. My heart beats like desperate bird wanted to escape from it’s cage.

He became silent. His word made my mind go crazy.

My system nearly shut down on the word he uttered. I just wanted to collapse with my whole world with me.

One word. One word but it cost a million thoughts.

“Felicia...”

“W-what?” I whispered.

“What a-about her?” I asked.

“She...”

“She’s the root of the catastrophe tree,” he uttered.

The confirmation my mind and system don’t tolerate really penetrates the depths of my personality.

I heaved a sigh. Umiling ako nang umiling. “No.”

“Claire...” she whispered my name. I shook my head.

“No, you’re lying,” I said.

The tandem that will stood on the witness stand soon once this war reach it’s ending.

‘They are just lying, right? They are just trying to pull a prank, right?’ I taught, as if the moon will answer it.

It’s April One.

It’s April Fool’s day. I hope all of this was just part of a ridiculous prank. Sky’s and Felicia’s death was only part of a biggest prank.

And to know the fact that the students and teachers didn’t really left us, but they are just hiding somewhere else. That Felicia wasn’t dead and Sky was also alive.

I hope.

“I am not.”

I came back on my senses when someone said that. I looked in front and Gabriella was flashing the flashlight in front of my face, umiwas ako ng tingin. I looked at Dave and stared at him intently.

“Yes, you are,” I said, still not believing on him and in his words.

“Claire, I’m telling the tru—”
