It had been several weeks. Time passed and there was already snow lying outside. Several parties had been thrown. James hadn't stopped pestering Lily. Fabian had been strangely silent concerning dating or even shagging anyone. Gideon was very successful. Marlene had been cautiously spying on Tristan and his "new" girlfriend. Alice was closer than ever to Frank. And Lily was trying to deal with Jen's brother without punching him.

It had been a long time since she had been to Hogsmeade and the more she thought about it the more she regretted ever agreeing to go. She hadn't talked to Remus since James's outburst. Not because James did everything for them to be on bad terms. To be completely honest, Jen had hated her brother for crashing her unofficial date. She had hated him for saying such things. For saying that she didn't know how to love and that she would break Remus's heart and that even if the only thought of it made her heart ache. She hadn't spoken to James since. But as the weeks passed, the more she thought about it and the more she started overthinking.

Jennifer Potter had always thought that love was something parents would tell their children about just to explain why they were together. Only, she knew that love was everything but perfect. It was something that was made beautiful by everyone but if you got a closer look, you could see that it had flaws. Major flaws. She had learned that the hard way. That was why she never dated, she knew looks deceived and she didn't want to be one of these people. So she had never thought about it.

And yet, when she had been with Remus all those times, she didn't care about all those rules she had in her head. She didn't care that their friendship wasn't perfect. The only thing she cared about was being with him.

But did she know how to love tough? She had concluded that she didn't know if she did. And she cared too much about him to hurt him if it wasn't the case. That was why she was currently hiding in a broom closet after spotting him coming her way in the corridors.

She closed the door as fast as she could behind her and huffed, only to see something she never thought she would've seen.

Gideon Prewett was making out with Amos Diggory and they were almost ready to take it to another level.

"Oh my god." She said quickly turning around.

No matter how hard she didn't want to interrupt, she was surely not going to go outside and risk Remus trying to talk to her like he had done fifty times before.

"Seriously, Jen? Couldn't you have found a better moment to hide from, Lupin?" Gideon asked obviously frustrated.

She rolled her eyes and saw an embarrassed Amos Diggory fix himself before glancing at her and at Gideon.

Gideon saw his shag buddy hesitate and quickly looked at Jen. She was looking at the ceiling, trying not to interrupt them even if she already had.

"She won't tell anyone." Gideon hurried to say.

Amos looked at Jen with a reluctant expression and she quickly caught up.

"I don't know what you're talking about." She simply said.

"See." Gideon insisted.

Diggory simply nodded before exiting the room. He didn't seem to be too happy. If she had to guess, she would say that he was one of the guys that denied to like guys.

"Stuck up gay?" She asked.

"Yep." He said with a sigh. "Hiding from Lupin again?"

Jennifer nodded and let herself slide against the door. She didn't want to do it but there was no other way. Remus was stubborn. He would never let it go and knowing him, with one word, he could end this charade and she would finally give in. Only she couldn't.
