Chapter 30 - Overrated

"Two?" Lily guessed.

"Four." Fabian corrected.

"No." Marlene said with a shake of her head.

"Yes." Gideon agreed.

"'No." Marlene kept going on.

"Maybe?" Alice suggested.

"No fucking way." Jen said with the same expression as Marlene. "Look at him."

Fabian scowled and threw a pancake at Jen, which slapped her face. He immediately started laughing and Jen took a strawberry and threw it at Fabian, that somehow managed to grab it with his mouth open.

Fabian grinned in victory at his brother, to which his brother looked at Jen smiling viciously. And as Fabian looked towards Jen again, a whole bowl of strawberries was thrown at his face.

Fabian stood there with a seriously expression and ate one of the berries on his hair.

"You're always so agressive." He said.

"Am not."

"You are." Fabian insisted.

"You guys shut the fuck up." Marlene said sighing. "Did she or did she not tell you she loved you in four weeks?"

Everyone looked at Fabian. He had been saying that a girl with whom he had been dating for a month now had told him she loved him.

"She did." Gideon answered for him. "I was there."

Lily eyed Fabian suspiciously and frowned.

"What did you do to her, Fabian?" She asked him.

Fabian looked away from her and started drinking his pumpkin juice before answering.

"Nothing." He lied.

Jen smiled sassily.

"Rule number one, when Fabian lies he looks away." She said.

Fabian shot her a look.

"Rule number two, he shoots you weird looks." Marlene carried on.

Fabian rolled his eyes and started eating his breakfast.

"Rule number three, he rolls his eyes." Alice finished.

Jen, Marlene, Alice, and Gideon burst out laughing whilst Fabian seemed annoyed. But Lily didn't forget him.

"Fabian, what did you do to her?" Lily asked again.

"Nothing-"

"He broke up." Gideon answered for his brother. "You did, didn't you?"

Fabian sighed. Lily was going to make a scene. Because of feminism or whatsoever. He liked to have fun, what was so bad about it. And unlike Sirius, he was someone that cared about the girls he was with.

"Of course he did." Jen answered with a smile.

She knew Fabian like no one. Except maybe his brother.
