"Give me back my fries dumbass."

Fabian Prewett only grinned wider and opened his mouth to shove the few fries he had stolen from Jennifer's plate in his mouth. Jennifer glared at him before kicking him in the leg from under the table. He winced and rubbed his leg, glaring at her while Jennifer smiled.

"Ow! You already hurt me once. No need to let bruises all over my body." He said.

Jennifer smiled and took some fries of his plate. She smiled at him and put them in her mouth.

"What if I want to let bruises all over your body?" Jennifer asked in a flirty way.

Fabian smirked at that comment and leaned over the table to get closer to her. From that angle you could see the redhead's face more clearly. He had ocean blue eyes, red wavy hair and a few freckles. But what distinguished him from his twin brother Gideon, was a little scar on the nose. And a few other things like their smell and personality.

"Then I'll gladly obey." He answered in a flirty tone.

Jennifer smiled and shook her head. She was about to answer something like 'In your dreams' when someone from next to her talked for her.

"Can you like, do something else than continuously flirt?" A blond girl said from next to her.

Fabian sat back on his seat and smiled lightly while Jennifer only rolled her eyes at her friend's comment. Marlene McKinnon was a beautiful girl. She had long blonde hair and deep blue eyes. Her skin was rather pale but that didn't matter because she was extremely gorgeous and because her extreme personality made up for it.

"Why? Does that bother you?" Jennifer asked while putting some bread in her mouth.

"I think it does." Gideon said looking at Marlene with an amused expression.

Marlene took the piece of bread Jennifer was taking apart and tossed it at Gideon that successfully dodged it. Alice, Lily, Jennifer and Fabian all smiled at that reaction.

"It's just annoying to hear both of you flirt every day the whole year. Date already!"

Jennifer burst out laughing while Fabian let out a little laugh as well. Jennifer would never, ever, ever date Fabian Prewett. He was her best friend and nothing more. She would never feel any different about him.

"You're funny Marlene. Now why don't you tell us the real reason you're on edge." Jennifer asked.

Marlene only huffed and looked around. She would not be telling them why she was in a bad mood the first day of school. But (un)luckily for her, her friend Lily was thinking otherwise.

"Tristan was in a compartment with Lucille."

At this, Alice and Jennifer immediately looked at her. Alice had a very concerned look while Jennifer's was filled with rage. Tristan was a boy Marlene had dated for a year before the summer break. She was madly in love with him and therefore, when he broke up because 'he wanted to experience other things before finishing Hogwarts' she had been heart broken and had been a wreck the whole summer.

"Oh Marlene.. I'm so sorry." Alice said while taking her hands from across the table.

Alice was a very sensible and yet badass person. She would be nice to you until it was too much and then you could be sure that whatever you did, it would be the last thing you did.

But on the other side you had Jennifer.

"That motherfucker! I'm going to murder him." Jennifer said rising from her seat.

She was ready to go down at the Gryffindor table and beat the shit out of that player. The asshole that had broken her best friend's heart. But as soon as she stood up, a hand pushed her back down by the arm.
