There's been many rumors of a playboy at your high school. Rumors in which you completely ignored and paid no mind to. There was never any reason for you to stick your nose in dumb high school rumors because of how reserved you were.

Having Zhongli as your older brother helped a bit with ignoring the whispers of people in the hallways as they gossiped mindlessly. He was wise for a senior in high school. You loved that Zhongli was like a personal tutor for you as he was already an amazing older brother.

In fact, he was the one who told you of the playboy rumors. Zhongli gave lots of advice and this piece of advice was no different; lots of girls fall for this player, so don't get involved no matter what. Their hearts have been broken and it's best to ignore the drama and stick to your own things.

Of course, you listened to his words and avoided it like the plague. Instead, you opted to continue living your life as you always have and stuck to your small group of friends named Benny's Adventure Team, courtesy of Bennett. Bennett, Xingqiu, Chongyun, Razor, and you were all part of the little friend group Bennett had created a year ago back when you were freshmen.

There was also Xiao who was your next door neighbour, though you didn't really see the boy too often during the school day. Oftentimes Xiao would crash at yours and Zhongli's place due to his parents being absolute asshats.

As you said farewell to Bennett and Razor, Xingqiu opened the door to your shared English honors class and you thanked the bookworm with a smile which he returned. Luckily the two of you were assigned next to each other and so you sat down and chatted with Xingqiu until the bell rang.

Just as the bell rang, an orange headed boy quickly sprinted inside the classroom and scanned the room before spotting an empty seat which just so happened to be right next to you. The boy, still slightly panting, approached your direction and settled down in the empty seat, turning to talk to a nearby classmate as the whole class waited for the teacher.

You sighed and continued to quietly chat with Xingqiu about the English book you had just finished reading for class. Being the reserved girl you were, you found joy in talking about books with your good friend which was how the two of you even met in the first place.

Right as you had gotten to the best point in your conversation, your teacher showed up and silenced the whole class, getting the appropriate ambiance for learning.

"Alright class, good morning! As you all know we have just finished reading (insert English book) (cough cough Into the Wild cough cough) and now we'll be moving on with a fun little project to wrap the unit up," said your teacher. This earned a sea of moaning and groaning from a majority of the class with the exception of Xingqiu who practically had stars beaming in his eyes. "For this project you'll be working with an assigned partner to research a modern person that you both find to be inspiring."

You and Xingqiu both made eye contact of excitement before it turned to disappointment once your teacher said that partners were going to be assigned. As she explained the logistics of the project, you tuned out what she was saying to brainstorm all the possible options of people you could research. Obviously you'd have to come to an agreement with your partner, but it wouldn't hurt to come up with a few ideas.

"Let's see...how about Xingqiu and Fischl. Y/n and Childe. Kazuha and...." Upon hearing your name you snapped back into reality and discreetly started looking around the room for your partner. Looking to your right you saw the tardy orange haired boy also glancing around before you made eye contact. You peeked up at the front of the classroom making sure that your teacher was occupied and then leaned in slightly to whisper to the boy.
