WHITE BEACHES, AZURE SKIES-a group of friends head to the beach for a mini vacation. Some choose to play in the sand, some opt to pick seashells, and some decide to go for a swim.

The warm summer winds brushed against you as your feet sank into the grainy sand. E/c orbs looked out into the distance at the clear blue ocean and you couldn't help but to allow a small glimpse of a smile to appear on your face. Although you hadn't planned on being dragged down to the beach by your good bard friend Venti for a surprise vacation, you couldn't let such nice weather be wasted. After all, it was rare that you got to see the sun seeing as you preferred spending your time indoors.

Basking in the sun's warmth and in your own thoughts, you sat down on the soft ground below you and closed your eyes to enjoy this time off from regular life. From afar, a certain tone deaf bard spotted your tranquil figure, a mischievous look crossing his features.

Venti, being the oh so amazing and great friend he was, quietly tiptoed behind you, hovering over you creating a shadow that you brushed off as just the sun being hidden by the passing clouds. But when the shadow wouldn't leave, you opened an eye, shocked to see Venti standing over you with a cheeky grin. You let out a sigh at this and reached up to flick his forehead.

With a whine, the green clad bard pouted and leaned down to give a quick peck to your forehead as he then became a giggling school girl after doing so.

"So, what did you want, Venti? Must be some reason why you're here bothering me rather than going out there and acting like a child with the others," you raised a brow up at him wondering why now of all times, he decided to bother you.

"Well you see, I heard that there was a story about seashells," he spoke. When he didn't say anything more you mentally facepalmed and gestured for him to continue talking to which he let out another giggle. "The story is that if you put the seashell up to your ear you can hear the ocean. Would my dear Y/n be oh so kind as to accompany me in finding these exquisite treasures?" Venti clasped his hands together in a pleading way and gave you his famous, er, infamous puppy dog eyes.

How could you say no to a cute Venti right in front of you? Your mind was telling you no and that he should go bother someone else with this children's story, but the inner child in you was drawn out by this and you couldn't help but to agree to Venti's proposal.

Sighing you said, "Fine...I'll go with you to find those seashells, Honestly, out of all the things we could be doing on the beach like playing in the sand and making sandcastles or taking a swim in the ocean, you decide to hunt for seashells," you shook your head and stretched your arms out before hopping to your feet. "Lead the way."

With another victorious cheer, Venti grabbed your hand in his and with a skip in his steps, generously dragged you along with him further down the shore. For being at least a thousand years old, Venti sure did have the mind and spirit of a child stuck in a teenage boy's body.

The farther the bard dragged you along with him, the more rocks and seashells you found. His aqua green eyes sparkled in delight and he finally let go of your hand as he saw an abundance of seashells laying on top of each other. Picking a blue one with white stripes, Venti carefully held the item close to his ear, closing his eyes to concentrate.

You looked at him with a weird look before eventually joining him. Kneeling down near the boy who picked up shell after shell trying to find the one that let him hear the ocean, you gingerly collected a few of your own and put them to your ear. The first few you were baited (jebaited) into thinking that you could hear the ocean when it was just the waves crashing against the surrounding rocks.
