A few votes have been cast so far for the fanfic. As I said in the previous oneshot/drabble-thing I'll be leaving the voting period open for quite a while. If you'd like to see a Genshin fic from me coming up in the future, please read the drabble-thing (previous chapter) and vote for which idea you'd be interested in seeing/reading!

Ever since that day when Childe had attempted to drown and kill you, he had made it his new mission to watch over and monitor any progress you made with your parents which as it currently stands, has been none. No matter what you said, your parents continued to hurt Snezhnayan waters by polluting and overfishing.
Three days passed and still, nothing. They refused to listen to what you had to say as you were still "just a child" in their eyes. You were beyond frustrated at this point and the disappointment in them grew larger and larger. What would it take for them to just listen to you and see their wrongdoings?
Childe on the other hand was getting somewhat impatient and annoyed at how stubborn your parents were. Usually he would've done by now with your assassination, but seeing as he had given you a chance to fix the mistakes of your parents, it was taking longer.
Her highest grandeur had gotten irritated at how the issue hadn't been resolved yet. The fish and merpeople of Snezhnaya continued to deplete in numbers with no signs of changes. She hadn't heard anything back from the young harbinger and so the Tsaritsa sent out a fatui agent to get an update from the eleventh.
Everything was still the same as it had been almost a week ago when she had first assigned the assassination. The agent quickly found Childe peeking his head above the water observing for the millionth time an argument you were having with your parents. Of course, the arguments always ended the same; you being told off on how childish you were for thinking you knew better than the adults.
"Master Childe," the agent, managed to gain the attention of the harbinger. Raising his eyebrow in confusion as to why an agent had been sent to his location, the ginger took one last glimpse at your defeated figure before devoting his attention to the messenger.
"Pyotrov, what brings you all the way out here? Surely you know that I'm perfectly capable of handling this assassination on my own."
"Her majesty is displeased at how long this task is taking as you haven't returned yet. She says that if you are unable to resolve this problem and kill the L/n family heir then she will send another one of the harbingers, Signora, to get the job done." Hearing this, Childe let out a sigh and shook his head. There was no way he was going to let her kill you. You were innocent and he knew it, he saw it with his very own two eyes how innocent you were.
"I'm making progress, worry not, Pyotrov. It's just taking me a bit more time than usual as I'm trying to get information out of the girl which is why she isn't dead yet." Hearing the harbingers' reasoning, Pyotrov the agent vigorously nodded his head in understanding. Without another word, he swam off back to the underwater kingdom in order to inform her highness the Tsaritsa that Tartaglia was getting data out of the L/n heir before killing her off.
Letting out a sigh, Childe looked back at your house that sat near the polluted waters. A sense of time running out lingered around and he knew that if nothing happened in the next few days your life would be wrongly taken away by Signora. The thought of that woman even laying a finger on you was enough to make the ginger infuriated.
The sun was setting as night was near, your parents were pulling onto shore hauling large nets of fish back to your house. Oh what a tiring day it had been for them, overfishing and killing the population of sea creatures in the ocean. Waiting on the wooden docks you sat with your knees pulled up close to your chest, disillusionment and frustration apparent in your e/c orbs as you watched your parents chat amongst themselves. Not too long after, they shouted for you to get inside for dinner.
