This will be the last oneshot that's part of the writing portion contest prompts! Hopefully you've enjoyed them all. I'll be taking a slight break as I'm burnt out after having written 10 oneshots in the span of 3 weeks.... Next oneshot will be the promised part three to "Runaway Baby." :)

TAKE A DIP-the water is cool and refreshing in the draft of summer's heat. However, one particular individual is unable to swim. Another invites them to come and take a dip beneath the waves.

Cool waves hit the shore in a calming and rhythmic beat as cheerful voices rang out in the background. Basking in the sun's warmth, you wondered how you'd managed to make so many wonderful friends in this paradise.

It had only been a few days since you and a few other Liyue and Mondstadt friends had ended up stranded on an unknown island that could only be described as paradise. None of you had any recollection of how you had gotten to this island and at first you assumed this was the Golden Apple Archipelagoes Lumine had told you about, however, upon asking the said blonde female, this island was in fact, not the island she had visited on her summer adventure.

The presence of another brought you back from daydreaming and you looked over to see who had decided to join you instead of having fun with the others. You were surprised to meet with Xiao's golden yellow hues that stared at your face for a few seconds before the yaksha turned his head away. Smiling, you greeted the adeptus who also happened to be your boyfriend by some miracle.

"Good afternoon, Xiao." The male grumbled in response as his golden eyes explored the waters of the blue ocean in front of the two of you. You followed his gaze and let out a relieved sigh seeing the clear water brush up against the sand.

As the sun beat down and heat gradually rose, you thought about how the amount of human activity was abnormal at the beach. Usually your other friends would already be out here on the beach splashing each other in the ocean and making sandcastles, however, it was tranquil on this day and though you could hear their loud voices in the distance, they hadn't dared to come to the beach.

As you sat in silence with your lover, Xiao thought back to this morning when he talked with Zhongli about wanting to spend more time with you, but didn't know how to bring about the topic. The guardian adeptus wasn't one for showing public affection and much rather preferred to spend time with you privately, just the two of you with peace and quiet. And so to say he was only slightly embarrassed was an understatement.

Xiao's face had been covered in red as he shyly asked the old geo archon for some ideas and suggestions. He knew that if anyone would be able to help him out it would be Zhongli as the moraless man acted as a father figure to the boy.

"Do you have any proposals as to what I could do, Zhongli?" he had asked while the old god quietly sipped his morning tea. Zhongli took in a deep breath, his eyes closed for a moment before opening to meet Xiao's golden ones.

"Perhaps an invitation to the beach? It has clear blue waters and it's the ideal place for any date."

"The beach? But aren't those...children always causing a ruckus and having their own fun? There's hardly any privacy for us," he grunted and crossed his arms across his chest, referring to the teens and adults of Mondstadt and Liyue who enjoyed spending their time on the sandy area. In response, the brown haired male hummed before setting down his tea cup.

"I'll make a contract with you and promise to keep the others away from the beach for the day and you have to spend that time with Y/n. Is that clear, Xiao?" Stiffening a bit, Xiao reluctantly agreed to the terms and let out a sigh.
