"Yoshi! Yoshi kitty...come on out it's just me," you quietly called out to your white cat that you kept in a decently sized shed not too far from your home. Closing the door gently behind you and turning on the small lantern to give some light, you continued calling out to Yoshi, worried that he may have somehow escaped. "C'mon Yoshi...I have your favourite food here," you took out a tin can filled with small chunks of chicken and beef, a preferred meal of Yoshi's. The scent of the cooked meat filled the entire shed, but Yoshi still refused to come out from his hiding spot.

Anxiety started to stir inside of you as you'd be in big trouble if your parents ever found Yoshi because their rule has always been no animals allowed on the L/n property. This rule was for the sake of your mother who was severely allergic to animals, especially the fur that some of them had. Thus this sparked the rebellious side of you to take in Yoshi and look after him in secret.

Calling out and attempting to coax the cat from his hiding spot, you let out a sigh and began looking throughout the shed once more to make sure that he wasn't just hiding behind something. After confirming that he was nowhere in the shed, horrible thoughts of your parents finding out and delivering punishment towards your actions flowed throughout your mind.

Maybe he's outside somewhere, you thought to yourself. It was worth it to go out and try before one of your parents found him roaming around eventually. Exiting the shed, you made sure the door was shut before you ventured out in search of the little white ball of fluff. What you weren't expecting was to bump into somebody as soon as you turned around, causing you to stumble backwards.

"Woah!" The person reacted quickly and grabbed onto your wrist before you could actually fall to the ground. "You alright there?" Nodding your head in response, you managed to compose yourself before getting a better look at the person. They appeared to be male, wearing what looked to be a red robe over his deep V-cut black shirt and a long purple scarf. Your eyes widened once you saw what he was holding.

"Yoshi!" Immediately you rushed over to the boy and gently took your cat back from him, snuggling your face into Yoshi's soft fur. "Where did you find him? Actually, how did you even get on my family's property? I'm pretty sure this is breaking and entering," you narrowed your eyes at the intruder as he let out a nervous chuckle while scratching the back of his head.

"Little guy was meowing quite a bit so I decided to jump the fence and take care of him. You're the owner then, I guess?"

"Gee I wonder how you figured that out. Anyways if you have no more business here then I'm going to kindly ask you to leave." You weren't completely sure this guy was being honest and even if he was, you wanted him out before any of the maids or servants found you talking with some stranger in the middle of the night.

"You should really let him roam outside a bit more," he pointed out. "Keeping him in a shed all day long isn't good." It was the only choice you had if you wanted to keep Yoshi. No way your parents would ever agree to let you keep him if they found out.

"I let Yoshi out as much as I can. If I let him roam around the property my parents would flip out," you let out a sigh and stroked Yoshi's fur earning soft purrs from the cat. "See my mom's allergic to animals so I'm not even supposed to let Yoshi stay, yet here we are."

"Ah, so that's what's going on.... Then how about this: I can look after Yoshi for you! I'm a wanderer of sorts so I'll bring the fella around wherever I go and bring him back here any chance I get." After hearing this suggestion you almost wanted to slap the guy across the face, but knew that it would make a loud sound. You barely even knew the guy too, so why in the world would you even agree to let him watch over Yoshi?
