Ignore that the comment says "7 days" ago, that is NOT correct as it's been a looong time.
But hey, I'm bach!!! Well, at least for this oneshot lol. I'm almost done with school, only about 2 weeks left because I'm a senior and then I'll graduate :D It's probably going to take me awhile to get the next oneshot out so yeah...
Also, anyone else playing Honkai Star Rail? I've been playing since launch and I'm already addicted.

A while had passed or maybe it had been a few months. A few years? You didn't know anymore. Time didn't really matter to you anyways. Ever since that day you felt as though time was insignificant. As though it didn't exist.
The ring Tomo had planned on giving you had stayed in its box and you refused to look at it. It sat on your dresser and every time you saw it, your head turned to look away from it. Who knew such a simple object could bring up traumatic memories.
With Tomo dead, the arranged marriage to Kamisato Ayato went as planned and you officially became his spouse, Kamisato Y/n. The ring you now wore that should've been Tomo's was that of Ayato's who had given it to you the day your engagement was announced publicly to the whole of Inazuma.
Even though much time had passed, you still could not get over the death of your lost beloved. You weren't sure how to feel anymore as your stolen heart felt empty and incomplete while also aching and fearing the feeling of love.
Snapped from your thoughts, you turned your head to see Yoshi sitting in the corner, snuggled in his bed, meowing at you for no apparent reason. A pained smile tugged at the corner of your lips as you made your way to the grown cat. He meowed at you, opening his eyes tiredly.
"Yoshi kitty," you said softly to him, gently petting his head. "Are you hungry? You took quite a long nap today." The feline stood up and stretched his legs out before hopping out of his bed and rubbing up against your leg. His way of saying yes.
Sighing, you quickly grabbed a can of Yoshi's favourite food from your drawer and fed the cat, happy to see that at least one "person" from the past still stayed with you.
"I should relax," you began ranting to the white ball of fluff. "Being cooped up inside the estate all day with not much to do is... tiresome. Though I have offered to help Ayato with his work and duties as his spouse, he's declined numerous times. What more can I do except sit in my room all day..." Yoshi listened, not understanding what exactly you were saying, but understanding that you weren't feeling well. The best he could do as a cat was nudge you towards your bedroom door and gesture for you to leave.
Confused as to what he was trying to tell you to do, you peeked your head out and looked between both sides of the hallway. As always, it was empty and there were no maids or guards in sight. Not even Thoma, the chief retainer was roaming the halls near your room. Looking back at Yoshi, the feline stared back up at you with wide eyes that were telling you to go out and breathe fresh air. You let out a sigh and crouched down to scratch the back of Yoshi's ears with a small smile on your face.
