Yeah uh...this is totally not a oneshot with Kazuha's dead friend. Ahahahaha......

Ok look, Mihoyo robbed of us a perfectly good husbando by killing him off before we even got to Inazuma. T-T Also since we don't know what his name was the fandom named him 'Tomo' short for 'tomodachi' (friend in Japanese) so I'm gonna roll with it.

And also...sadly I start hell a.k.a school tomorrow, the 18th. Sadge. Doesn't help that I'm a junior in high school now either...god I am not looking forward to this year at all lol. I don't even feel like a junior because it's almost as if I didn't even have a freshman or sophomore year because of the whole pandemic. ;-;

One more year and I'm gonna have to face...this thing called.....college....

Divine Punishment. Her Musou no Hitotachi struck him swiftly, doing its job in killing Tomo right in front of yours and Kazuha's very eyes. His dying vision flew in the air, burning with what little was left of Tomo's hope, desire, and ambition, its glowing purple light diminishing.

Catching his lifeless and limp body in your trembling arms, you brushed away the pale ash strands of his hair that still stuck to his forehead as Kazuha tightly clutched his blazing vision, smoke reaching out towards the sky. A few tears streamed down your cheeks as you watched the rest of Tomo's life dissipate into death.

The crackling of electricity caused you to turn your attention to the Raiden Shogun who still held her sword in hand. Eyes widening, you felt Kazuha grab your wrist with his free hand as he started running away. You were in shock and out of instinct, you reached out towards Tomo's body that lay on the ground only to realise that there was nothing you could do. If only you and Kazuha had arrived earlier, maybe you could've done something to intervene.

"Kazuha—"

"We have to run and get out of here. There's no place for us here anymore," he spoke in a tone you'd never heard from him. Run away? You couldn't just leave behind all the memories of Inazuma just like that. So many things happened with Tomo on these islands and you didn't want to mourn his death by running.

Fighting against his hold, you were able to escape Kazuha's grasp and you slowed down to a stop to look around at the forest of trees surrounding you. The white haired male's scarlet eyes were pleading you to cooperate without a fuss, but you weren't having any of that.

"I'm...I need to stay here. There are so many memories that I can't just leave behind. I need some time, please," you reached out to grasp his hand as he shook his head.

"Do you want your vision taken away too? It isn't safe here, Y/n. I don't want to lose another friend." You sighed and turned your back to him. Without another word, you ran off in the opposite direction. You still had some personal business to take care of before you were ready to run off with Kazuha. He reached out for you, but you were already far away from his reach and all he could do was continue to run away.

As you ran and ran, you had to be wary of all the shogunate guards patrolling Inazuma City as you quietly made your way to the Tenshukaku compound where the Shogun resided and where you had just escaped from. Your mind was all over the place, your heart was beating so fast inside your chest and your rationality was clouded.

You walked with your head down low so as to not draw too much suspicion, yet you were still found by one of the guards as they had recognised you. Of course, you should've seen this coming and you didn't know what you were thinking, trying to come back.

Maybe you should've just listened to Kazuha and followed him. Where was your "plan" even gonna take you? Probably to the Raiden Shogun herself seeing as you were now wanted. This isn't what you wanted by choosing to stay in Inazuma a while longer.
