Ok...this isn't the Venti oneshot that was supposed to come out BUT hear me out. So my friend and I were talking about music and songs and shizz the other day and they told me about this piece called Cafe 1930. I enjoy music a lot and so I was like, 'hell yeah, I'll give it a listen and tell you what my interpretation was!' Interpreting and creating a story from just listening to music is so fun to do and it's interesting to see what other people thought of while listening to the same song/piece.
This oneshot is exactly that. My interpretation of what happened in the story of Cafe 1930. I highly recommend listening to the song, but you don't have to. It'll give a better experience if you do though.
Diluc I'm sorry, but you're gonna suffer again. I guess this is what you get for not coming home on my main account /j.
Side note: thanks for 7.3k reads!! I honestly never expected this to get that much attraction, but to those reading, thanks for sticking around! I hope you've been enjoying these oneshots so far!!!

It was raining outside. People in the streets were running around, rushing to get to a dry space while holding their coats above their heads. Some had been smart enough to have brought an umbrella with them and those people calmly walked, minding their own business as those around them were in a panic of the weather. Amongst the crowd, a red haired man walked solemnly on his own in the rain, hands in his pockets with not a care in the world that he was getting drenched in water. He hadn't bothered to bring an umbrella of his own and he didn't feel like finding shelter either. And so, he kept walking and walking, passing by many shops until he caught sight of a familiar building out of the corner of his crimson eyes.
Diluc stopped in his tracks in front of this building and ignoring the rushing crowd of people around him, walked towards it until he stood right in front of the large window. Pressing his fingers against the cold glass, he searched the inside of this old, abandoned building, eyes scanning the lonely and empty interior.
Out of nowhere, Diluc felt an urge to suddenly cry as he continued to look inside this building. This feeling came out of nowhere and he tried to suppress the desire to cry, but he couldn't hold it in and his tears mixed with the droplets from the rain silently rolled down his cheeks. Memories of this place in front of him came flooding back and the emotions that came with it overwhelmed him. Diluc didn't have the energy in him anymore to keep standing in front of this old shop because of the reminders of the past it gave him. Taking one last look through the dirty window, the redhead continued walking on his way, refusing to look back behind him.

Opening his eyes, Diluc sat up in his bed and was greeted by a brand new day. Everything felt light and cheery; the birds were chirping and the sun was shining through his windows giving colour to his bedroom. The atmosphere had an air of excitement, happiness and joy to it causing a small smile to find its way onto the boy's usually frowning face.
The door to his room creaked open as your face took a quick peek through the crack of the door before you entered. Wearing your work clothes, Diluc's eyes widened and everything around him seemed to stop in time for a few seconds until you spoke directly to him.
"Good morning sleepyhead," you teased. "You should hurry up and get out of bed before we're late for work." A playful smile graced your lips. Diluc was at a loss of words, but seeing you skip happily out of his room to wait for him downstairs, made a smile of his own creep on his face before it disappeared as he dressed himself in a matching work uniform to yours. He promptly followed you down into the living room and left the house he shared with you, beaming in happiness as he walked alongside your bubbly self.
