Took some inspiration from this song. Fun fact: I actually played this piece with the house band at my school during the talent show two/three years ago lmao. It was after the show ended and we were just messing around with playing shit while people were leaving and it was fun. I got the idea for a oneshot involving this song during that time and well...I've found the perfect opportunity to finally use it.

And also yes...this was from like 5 months ago that I'm finishing now.... Shiza we went from 3 month old requests to 5 month old requests.... *sweatdrops*

All the upcoming requests are from a while ago ok....

As a widely known, traveling bard who enjoyed playing in taverns and pubs for others to enjoy a performance or two, you pride yourself in making your own tunes. It was a goal of yours to always create at least one new piece to perform at whatever venue you were headed to next. Whether it be on the lyre, zither, or any other instrument, patrons enjoyed the sounds you produced and would often tip you a hefty amount of mora.

Out of all the places in Teyvat you've visited over the course of your life, Angel's Share was no doubt your favourite. There was something about the cozy atmosphere and the patrons there that made it seem like home every time you were invited to play a few tunes. Tonight was no different. A tavern filled with many drunkards with you in the centre of it all playing whatever you felt like.

Master Diluc, the owner of the fine establishment, had personally invited you back to Angel's Share during one of Mondstadt's biggest celebrations: the Ludi Harpastum. You would've come to his tavern anyday, but especially during this event, Diluc promised to pay you a good amount of mora for every hour that you played for his drunken customers. Of course, it came as no surprise to him when you immediately accepted his invitation. Why in the world would you ever think to decline such a good opportunity like that? Any amount of mora would help fund your crippling addiction to alcohol.

Although you didn't seek to get wasted at every chance presented to you, you quite liked having a couple of drinks here and there and getting absolutely drunk on some occasions was something to be expected coming from a bard such as yourself. Just like a certain other bard (whom you had yet to meet), you were as broke as a joke and any mora you managed to earn from playing gigs was used to buy wine. Most of the time. You still needed food and other stuff to keep living so of course some of your hard earned mora was used to buy meals. If you kept using all your money on only alcohol then surely you'd already be dead.

Whilst you played a tune on your lyre, the drunkards all around Angel's Share kept clanging their glasses against each other and chugging every last drop of wine in their cups. Their slurred words and the smell of alcohol all around felt exactly like home. Ah, the life of a traveling bard. This was what life was all about.
