Pilot
┗━━━✦❘༻༺❘✦━━━┛After a short drive where Bonnie nearly crashed the car, Alfie soon found himself practically jumping out of said vehicle.
He didn't know how long he was going to be here but one thing was for certain, Alfie Gilbert was going to learn how to drive. And hopefully not kill himself trying. But it was a very high possibility, and the exact reason he didn't drive at his other home.
As Alfie walked through the Busy school halls, the initials on his wrist tingled. Walking up to his locker, Alfie closed his eyes and surveyed through his mind until he found what he was looking for.
Soulmates.
Everyone had one. It's starts with their initials on your wrist. When in close proximity they will tingle until you make physical contact with them, then the initials turn gold.
Once gold, you have the option to either accept or reject. If you accept, great, fantastic you've found your one for the rest of your life. And the best part is they can't ever lie or cheat or do anything like that without being in searing pain.
If you reject, the colour fades to a dull black that you can never get rid of. You will be able to move on with your life, but relationships would feel forced and while you would love them, you would never fully love them.
Shaking his head, Alfie pulled out his history book and shoved it in his back before closing the rusty blue locker, only to jump as a perky, bubbly blonde smiled widely.
"Alfie!" She squealed, pulling said boy in for a bone crushing hug. She had missed her friend, After the funeral Alfie had become distant in all manner or the word.
He wouldn't answer calls or texts. He would ignore anyone who wasn't Jeremy, and would only speak to certain people.
Caroline wanted to be there for him, really she did. Just like he was there when he dad left her mum for another man.
But it was hard, especially when he closed himself off. It was only recently that he started talking to her again and while she was happy he did, she couldn't help the nagging feeling that he could go back to isolation at any moment, and she really didn't want that.
"Hello Caroline." Alfie felt his lips tug up involuntary. Originally Alfie had been very fond of Caroline, and while yes he did shut her out, it was because he didn't want to snap or upset her with his actions.
Original Alfie was a mess after his parents died. He stopped talking, he hardly ate, he smoked weed with his brother and was even going to try crystal Meth but Jeremy, surprisingly, had stopped him.
So he had shut himself away. He didn't want anyone to see the mess he had become.
Pulling back, the bubbly blonde smiled widely, "Are you okay? Do you need anything? Water, food? Ditch school? Anything?" She began to ramble.
