The Night Of The Comet
┗━━━✦❘༻༺❘✦━━━┛Alfie had been wandering around the town, looking for something he could do to pass the time. Stefan had left a few hours ago, to go do something. What it was, he didn't know. He couldn't remember.
While stuck in his own head, he didn't notice his sister marching over until it was too late. Alfie hissed lowly when Elena grabbed his arm and started dragging him towards the Grill. Alfie glared, his hand coming up to rip hers off, but he never got the chance for he was shoved into a seat.
Huffing loudly, Alfie glared at everyone, par a perky blonde who was looking at him in concern.
Alfie gave her a small reassuring look, silently telling her he was fine. And he was, the only thing that hurt was his now throbbing arm.Caroline reached over and grasped his hand within her own. She knew she couldn't say anything because of the massive fight that would follow after. It had happened before and she didn't think Alfie wanted to go through that again. Especially in public.
Bonnie picked up her glass and took a small sip, "I was talking to Grams," she said, mostly talking to Elena, "And she said the Comet is a sign of impending doom. The last time is passed over Mystic Falls, there was a lot of death. So much blood and carnage, it created a bed of paranormal activity."
Alfie swallowed thickly as he listened to the teen speak. From what he could remember his sister reeling him, Bennett's where witches. Like actual witches. A small shudder ran down his spine, did this mean someone was going to die?
"Mm," Caroline nodded with disinterest, "Yeah, then you poured Grams another shot, and she told you about Aliens." She rolled her eyes before turning to Alfie, "So, what happened last night?" She asked in hopes that Alfie would talk, but even she knew it was a long shot.
Alfie pursed his lips, giving the blonde a pointed look. However, Elena, thinking Caroline was talking to her, opened her mouth, "Nothing really," she shrugged softly, "Me and Stefan talked all night."
Alfie leaned back in his seat, giving his sister a look that said 'really?' Because he knew she was lying. Stefan had spent the entire night with him. Caroline looked at Alfie before looking back to Elena with a frown, "Why would Stefan speak to you all night when he's your brothers soulmate?" She asked with a head tilt.
Elena blushed, choosing to ignore the part where Stefan is her brothers soulmate because she didn't care. Soulmates didn't have to be together, they could see other people, "Because we've been getting close," she mumbled a lie, "I think it's getting serious,"
Caroline looked at Elena with disbelief and disgust while holding tightly onto Alfie's now clenched hand, silently begging him not to start something here. Because if there was one thing this town like to do, it was gossip.
Slamming his hand down on the table, startling the two girls, Alfie growled before storming off. Caroline following close behind, completely unaware that his eyes where glowing yellow.
"Alfie!" Caroline yelled, running to catch up with the surprisingly fast teen. Had he gotten faster, she thought while catching her breath. "Alfie, are you okay?" Wrapping her arm around the teen, she pulled him into her side.
"Who the fuck does she think she is?" He growled, his lips turned up into an animalistic snarl. "Why is she making it about her! He's my soulmate, not hers!"
Seeing some passerbyers beginning to stare, Caroline quickly pulled the teen into a dark ally before gasping loudly. "Alfie!" She shrieked, her hands covering her mouth.
Alfie frowned, "What?" He asked. Caroline slowly walked forward, her fingers coming up and gently tracing under his eyes.
Moving her hand back down to her side, she looked Alfie in his eyes, "Your eyes," she murmured, "There glowing."
Alfie felt his eyes widen in panic, "What do you mean my eyes are glowing?" He shrieked, his eyes wide and disbelieving.
Caroline quickly whipped out her phone and took a photo of his glowing eyes before flipping the phone around and showing him. Alfie gasped when he saw the picture, and true to Caroline's word, his eyes where glowing a deep molten gold,"What the absolute Fuck is going on?"
