The Night Of The Comet
┗━━━✦❘༻༺❘✦━━━┛A few hours later found Alfie and Stefan laying down in his bed, wrapped in a cocoon of blankets. Alfie was currently on his back with Stefan's head resting on his chest, his fingers running through the dirty blond's hair.
"Your sister is back," Stefan mumbled, his eyes closed as he pushed himself closer to his Mate. Alfie rolled his eyes while Stefan let out a soft sigh, "She's telling Jenna that I am apparently on the rebound and have raging family issues."
Alfie frowned, "How can you be on a rebound when you never loved Katherin in the first place?" Letting out a loud gasp, he pinched the vampire's hip, "Oh, My, God, am I your rebound? Me? A rebound? oh please, I'm much too beautiful to be a rebound."
Plump lips twitched as Stefan fought to keep his eyes closed, "Well, according to your sister, you must be. Well, her I should say, because she seems to think we have a thing, which we do not." her said, moving to look his Mate in the eyes.
Alfie smiled softly, "You don't have to try and convince me nothing is going on between you too. Not only do I trust you, but also the bond between us would tell me, remember? Just like if I was unfaithful to you, you'd know almost instantly."
Stefan smiled at that small declaration of trust, not many people tended to trust him much after finding out he was a creature of the night that went around drinking blood to survive. It felt even better since it was coming from his Mate, the person bound to him for the rest of their life.
Leaning up, Stefan placed a soft and tender kiss to his lips, pouring all his emotions into it. From the way Alfie leaned more into it, he guessed he got his silent message across. After a few moments, the pair pulled away with matching smiles.
Smiling down at each other, Stefan went back to resting his head on his Mates chest while Alfie went back to running his fingers through Stefan's hair.
After everything that Stefan had done during his 162 years, he didn't know what good deed he had done to deserve somone like Alfie. He had told the teen everything, from being with Katherin and killing his father, to his ripper days. Alfie hadn't looked at him any differently. He just accepted who he was with a smile.
Closing his eyes, Stefan pushed himself further into his Mate's embrace, a soft purr slipping from his lips at the enjoyment of feeling his Mate's hand through his hair.
Slowly, a soft frown slipped onto his features as he listened to what was going on downstairs, "Your brothers back," he murmured, "And your aunt just threw something at him."
Feeling his eyes glow in anger, Alfie slid out from under Stefan and went to leave the room when Stefan pulled him back, "Your eyes," he whispered, looking pointedly into the glowing orbs.
Closing his eyes and shaking his head, Alfie willed it to go and when he opened them one more, it was. Getting a small nod from Stefan, he quickly left the room, "Stay here," he muttered.
"oh, no, no, no." He heard Jenna grumble. Rounding on the stairs, he saw Jeremy rubbing the back of his head while glaring at the apple on the floor.
"Ow!" Jeremy whinced, turing to glare at his aunt. He didn't understand why she was so angry with him, Alfie had literly told her not even a few hours ago, that when he gets stoned out of the house, Alfie knows where he is. "Why? Why did you do that?"
"Listen up," Aunt Jenna growled, not noticing her other nephiew standing at the top of the stairs, "Quit ditching classes, or your grounded. No discussion."
"Jeremy, go wait in my room," Alfie said causing the teen to look at him with a smile. Walking up the rest of the stair, Jermey ignored his aunts protests and headed straight to his brothers room. "Jenna, you can't just go around throwing things at him to get his attention. Better yet, you can't go around and act like you give a shit after spending months fawing over poor helpless Elena.
She wasn't the only one who lost her pairents, you know. We did too and when we needed you, you pushed us to the side for her. You wanna know why Jeremy listens to everything I tell him, its because when the going got tough, I stayed. I didn't abandon him like you did.
And before you come at me and say something on the lines of, 'I'm trying, I'm doing this, I'm doing that, Your being to harsh on me Alfie,' Just remeber, you only started to give a shit because Tanner called you out on it.
You truley want to be there for him, then cut him some slack. You stand there and preach about your stoner days. Then you know exactly what its like, how hard it can be to stop once you've started. So for the last time, just cut him some God Damn slack."
With a loud huff, Alfie marched back towards his room and slammed the door shut. "Thank you," Said Jeremy as he pushed himself up from the bed to hug his brother, abandoning the converstation he was having with his brothers Mate.
"Always," Alfie promised, holding his brother that little bit tighter, "But she is right, you do have to start going to classes, okay?" Jeremy nodded his head in his brothers shoulder, "For me."
"Promise," Jeremy muttered before pulling back and moving to lay on the bed. sighing softly, Alfie turned off the light and laid between his boys, holding them both to his sides as they slowly drited off to sleep.
