The Night Of The Comet
┗━━━✦❘༻༺❘✦━━━┛Wrapped in a cocoon of blankets, Alfie Gilbert slept peacefully for the first time since he had woken up in this universe. His mouth was parted, making way for the soft snores to escape while his arms were wrapped tightly around the warm body laying half on his own.
The sun streamed into his room through a small gap in his curtains, the rays shining down on his face. Alife scrunched his eyes in discomfort, moving until the sun was pressed against the back of his head instead.
The young teen had tried to go back to that wonderful dream, but his mind simply refused. He could already feel the images fading from his mind like most dreams did. All he could remember was that he was laughing with Stefan while the two danced in very expensive looking suits.
Huffing through his nose, Alfie pushed his face further into his pillow, hoping that if he couldn't get the dream back, that he could at least fall back asleep. However, it seemed the universe was playing a cruel joke on him that very morning as someone began pounding relentlessly on his bedroom door.
Letting out a loud and irritable groan, Alife reached behind his head, grabbed his pillow, and threw it at the door. "Fuck off!" He hissed through clenched teeth, his eyes blinking away the blurriness as he glanced at his clock, "It's seven in the morning!"
A masculin chuckle reverberated through the door, followed by the sound of his brother. The teen had woken up very early that morning and when he saw the position Stefan and Alfie were in, he decided to give them some peace and returned to his room.
He had later been woken by his sister storming into his room and yanking open his curtains. After the pair had gone downstairs and eaten their breakfast, Elena had made some comment about going to wake Alfie up.
Jeremy however, was quick to stop her. Alfie and Stefan had told him all about what she had been doing, so he knew the amount of drama she would cause upon seeing Stefan in Alife's bed. It's why he was the one standing outside of the bedroom door.
"Would you prefer Elena?" he asked teasingly, his side leaning across the doorframe, "Because I can go downstairs and get her."
"NO!" Alife yelled out, quickly jumping out of his bed to open the door, "You get Elena and I swear I'll burn your headphones." he threatened jokingly.
Jeremy gasped dramatically, his hand pressing against his heart, "You wouldn't dare!"
With a small smirk slipping onto his lips, Alfie stared his brother in the eyes, never once faltering, "Try me,"
The pair continued to stare at each other for a few moments before breaking out into small smiles. "Just get her out of the house otherwise she's gonna start shit. I'm not dealing with it first thing in the morning."
