I wanna disappear.
I mean, seriously. I wanna pack all my things right now and leave Tokyo because after realizing the dumbness that I'd done yesterday, I was sure that this city will be the place of my death.
Death in the hands of the most notorious gang around, the Tokyo Manji Gang.
"So you just realized your stupidity, huh," said the brown-haired girl from yesterday. She introduced herself to me as Sayuri Hisashi.
The moment after finding out that the dorayaki-stealing guy that I met in the convenience store was Toman's leader, the brown-haired girl--who was Sayuri Hisashi--immediately grabbed me by the wrist and dragged me out of the shrine, running as fast as she could. That's how I 'escaped' the situation that my impulsivity got me into yesterday.
And I didn't realize how big and infamous Toman was until Sayuri told me about them. That gang's literally the real deal.
"I'm dead," I said in a low voice. I sighed and put my palms on my face.
"Girl, you slapped Ken Ryuguji twice on the face. That's Toman's vice leader, for Pete's sake," Sayuri said. "And most of all, you called their president a dickhead. D'ya hear me? You called Manjiro fucking Sano, Toman's president, a dickhead. You're a legend."
Until now I still couldn't believe that that annoying guy from the convenience store was Toman's president. I mean, he literally looked nothing like a delinquent, let alone the leader of an infamous gang. And it's not like it was my fault that I called him a dickhead. He literally stole that last dorayaki from me the other day, he's really a dickhead!
And the reason that I slapped that tall tattooed guy who turned out to be Ken Ryuguji, Toman's vice leader, was because he insulted Yuki.
"Toman beat up my younger brother," I said. "I did the right thing. That Ken Ryuguji deserved that slap and that Manjiro Sano is a real dickhead."
I admit that I was just trying hard to convince myself that I did the right thing to avenge Yuki but deep inside me I was nervous as hell and worried about Toman hunting me and right now I just wanna flee and disappear from the face of the Earth.
Sayuri crossed her legs and sighed. "How are you even sure that it was Toman who beat up your brother?"
"Because he told me it was Toman," I said. "My brother wouldn't lie."
I already know Sayuri's face since she's my classmate but we didn't officially know each other until yesterday. Just the other day, she was with those people in the class who were mean to me just because I was the 'new kid' but now, here we are talking like we'd known each other for months.
"Wait, why did you even follow me in the shrine yesterday?" I asked.
She rolled her eyes. "I was trying to save you, obviously. I know you're new here in Tokyo so you surely don't know what Toman is. I told you it's dangerous but you didn't listen so I followed you," she said. "And besides, I've been wanting to see the members of Toman, especially the higher ranks. I heard they're hot as hell."
She chuckled and sighed dreamily. "Damn, I want to have a boyfriend in Toman."
I just looked at her. So that's why. Sayuri had this sassy vibe and she seemed to be the type who wants a fine badass boyfriend to brag in the whole campus but on the other hand she's actually a kind person inside. I mean, it's thanks to her that I got out of Musashi Shrine yesterday still alive and breathing.
The class had started but Hina didn't come to school that day. Whenever Hina is absent, I would just spend the whole day on my own and eat in the cafeteria all by myself since she's my only friend here.
