Alone in an unfamiliar street on the other side of the rainy city in the middle of the night, I held my flip phone against my ear. When I heard him answered my call, the first thing that came out of my mouth was a shaky, "help me."

I didn't know what else to say. I was crying. It was cold. I was scared and I was shaking, and I couldn't think straight. Walking fast under the canopy on the side of the road as the rain continued pouring, I gulped and took a deep breath.

"I-I don't have time, m-my phone's dying," I said, trying to speak as clear as I could despite my shaking voice. "P-Please help me. Please. I-I'm lost, and someone's following me. M-My things got stolen, I can't get home. I-I'd do anything, I'm begging you, j-just please--" I stopped, wiping my tears. "P-Please come."

For a moment, he didn't speak. I thought he already dropped the call but suddenly, I heard jiggling of keys from the other end of the line along with his voice. He didn't ask any question and didn't even ask who I was, he just straight up said, "describe your location."

I frantically started looking around me. The rain was so heavy that everything was all blurry. "T-There's a road signage that says Akamiko," I said. "A-And to my right, t-there's a building--looks old and abandoned, a sign there says Sora no Hana a-and there was--"

toot. toot. toot.

"H-Hello?" I stopped and frowned. I looked at my phone and saw that the screen had turned dark and blank and that's when I realized that the battery was now all empty.

"Shit!" Not now! I immediately tried pressing the power button again and again to try to open it but it wont work. It's dead. "Fuck!"

I wanted to throw the damn phone on the ground. I wanted to scream. He was my last chance, why did this stupid phone have to run out of battery? Did he even hear what I said?

"Hey, Miss."

I turned my head and almost jumped when I saw the bearded man's face right in front of mine. I automatically stepped back and I was so surprised that I even tripped and fell to the ground.

"Relax, why are you so scared?" he said, smirking like a maniac.

"D-Don't come near me," I said as I stood up. I was taking steps backwards as I look at him. "Stay there!"

"Who're you talkin' to on the phone earlier? Your boyfriend?"

I didn't speak. The man reeked of alcohol and he looked so drunk. He looked like someone who wouldn't do anything good and that fact alone scares me to death. What is he planning to do?

"Look, you're wet," he said, and every hair on my body stood up when he raked his eyes from my head to my feet. "Why don't you come with me?"

He then tried grabbing my arm but I pushed him. "Don't touch me!"

"Hey, hey, let's just have a good time--"

"Stop!" I said, pushing him again. "Stop, please! Someone help me!"

But my voice was muffled by the sound of the heavy rain and there was no one in the streets. The man was now gripping me by the arm and he was trying to pull me with him. I was frantically trying to free myself as I scream for help but the man wont let me go, so I did what I needed to do--I gathered all my strength and kicked between his legs as hard as I could.

The sound of his painful groan filled the place as he fell to his knees, clutching his crotch.

And that's when I ran.

Under the heavy rain, I ran as fast as I could. I didn't know how long the man would stay down so I desperately grabbed the chance to look for help and I was out there on the street screaming 'help me!' at the top of my lungs. My seemed to be unending tears was mixing with the rainwater and my throat was getting sore but I didn't stop. I wanna run as fast as I could and get out of this place but my wobbly and numb body wont cooperate.
