It turned out that Kei and I were on the same place all along.

To say that we were both surprised was an understatement.

"What the hell are you doing here?!" was the first question that got out of his mouth the moment we faced each other. We were standing there under a lamp post by the bushes, right beside the Sanos' main house.

"I should be the one asking you that!"

We were just talking on the phone a while ago and now he we are, in utter confusion at this sudden discovery. It was almost ridiculous.

"You said you're in a sleep over!"

"I am here for the sleep over. This is my friend's house!"

"What do you mean? This is my friend's house!"

"What?!"

"What?!"

And there it was.

The fact that Kei and I were on the same location wasn't really the most 'surprising' part of it all. It turned out that the 'friend' Kei was talking about was actually--none other than--Mikey. Also turned out that he was a member of Tokyo Manji Gang.

God, can someone just stab me on the fucking neck?

"Why didn't you tell me that you're in Toman?!"

"Coz you didn't ask? Wait--how do you know about Toman in the first place?"

"I'm friends with Emma, of course I know Toman!"

"You're friends with Emma? Why didn't you tell me?!"

"'Cause you literally didn't ask?!"

Both of us ended up heaving a deep sigh. We stared at each other, no longer know what to say. He scratched the back of his head and breathed, "Damn."

It was surprisingly awkward. Probably specially to his part since he was all being an annoying and assuming dork over the phone earlier, making me admit that I miss him.

"Tch." He couldn't look straight at me. "Guess it can't be helped."

I still seem to be having a hard time digesting the fact that he and Mikey were friends. We were just standing there, didn't know what to do or say. The silence was soon broken when the sound of my name echoed in the area, making the both of us turn our heads to the source of the voice.

"Nika!"

It was Sayuri. She was half-running towards our direction, being all excited with this ever bright smile on her face. "Girl, we've been looking for you! Where the hell have you--" Her eyes landed on Kei. "Oh." She cleared her throat and fixed her hair. "Uhm, wow. Hi."

Kei just gave a nod.

Sayuri beamed. "Are you the love of my life?"

"What?"

I immediately stepped in before Sayuri could say anything weird again. "Uhm, Kei, that's my friend, Sayuri."

"Wait, you know him?" she was obviously confused but I gave her an 'I-will-explain-later' look and she seemed to have gotten it.

She stretched her hand to Kei, smiling sweetly. "I'm Sayuri Hisashi, nice meeting you, Mister..?"

"Keisuke Baji." Kei shrugged his shoulders. "Can't shake your hand, I spilled coke on mine, it's kinda sticky--"

"Oh, I don't mind." Sayuri pulled his hand, held it tight and shook it exaggeratedly. "I'm into sticky things, you know."

And she winked. Oh, please.
