Funny how a mere text message from Sayuri transformed my lazy and boring afternoon.
I somehow knew that Sayuri was an expert when it comes to stuff like this but I didn't expect she'd actually find the girl today. I mean, that was fast. I didn't even think she'd actually do it. She even send that 'Found her' message while I was sleepy and now I could no longer take a nap 'cause my system had woken up.
I wasn't sure what to reply. I was reading the message again and again, and I was already sitting back on the couch when I came with, 'Are you sure?'
'Yaz! ama freakin dete2tiue'
'*detective'
'Shit i hate my keypad'
'Hey i said guess what'
'What?'
'She's ayana matsumoto'
My legs automatically stretched upon reading it. Kei was sitting on the floor in front of me so I accidentally kicked the back of his head and he turned to me, pissed. "Hey, ouch!"
"S-Sorry!"
I wasn't expecting that she would drop the name that's why I was surprised. Kei gave me a glare before facing the TV screen again. I looked back at my phone.
'I mean wtf'
'Doesnt ring any bell??'
'No'
She didn't reply after that. I was left there slouched on the couch, biting the tip of my thumb. I was waiting for the phone to vibrate but no message came. It was thirty minutes later when she texted back.
'tell you everything in person tomorrow pehs such a mess rn istg'
'bye'
It turned out that Peh and her were still together at the moment. I closed my phone and sighed, and there I stared at the ceiling as my mind got even messier than it was.
Sayuri finally knowing the glasses girl's identity and not telling me about it except for the name was just making my entire head occupied. The name was not familiar to me at all but Sayuri's texts implied that she seemed to know the girl. Kei being in the house that day kept me from drowning in curiosity amd thoughts, and I couldn't believe I'd be glad for a moment that he was such an annoying asshole.
"Nika, look!"
"Nika, Yuki's beating me, look!"
"Hey, Nika!"
"Nikaaa!"I was so close to putting a sock on his mouth because he was so loud but it was thanks to him that I was distracted. Somehow, I forgot about what Sayuri and I were texting about earlier--at least temporarily--but when he left after dinner, I was back at it again.
The ticking sound of the clock echoed in the four corners of my room as I lie on my bed that evening. It was already 10:30 pm but there I was, wide awake and staring at the ceiling like some wide-eyed creep. I admit I hadn't been having a decent sleep since the sleep over, clearly because I was overthinking about stuff, specially about Mikey. And now, that glasses girl just added to my restlessness.
