I was preoccupied.

The interaction with Mikey and the girl with glasses that afternoon had me preoccupied. The girl's image never left my head. My mind remembered everything. Her face. Her uniform. Even the look in her eyes. Until now my heart was sinking and racing at the same time, and I couldn't understand why was I feeling this.

Just who is she? Why is she with Mikey?

"Oi."

I came back to my senses when I heard Kei's voice from behind me. I was in the kitchen preparing some drinks and I turned around only to see his annoyed face.

I blinked and furtively shook my head. "W-What?"

He sighed. "What the hell is this?"

"What?"

He jerked his head to the direction of the living room. I peeked trough the kitchen divider to look at Yuki and Haruto playing video games in the couch.

"I texted you to bring food, not to bring some fucking retard."

I closed my eyes and sighed. Oh, yeah. I ended up bringing Haruto home with me.

I wasn't sure what I was thinking when Haruto and I got out of the store. We walked together with my head still clouded and the next thing I knew we're already in front of the house. I invited him in out of courtesy, and he said, 'sure'.

So, yeah.

Mom and Dad were still out so it's only the four of us in the house. Me, Yuki, Kei, and Haruto.

I couldn't describe how pissed Kei was. "Send him out," he said.

I looked at him. "I can't just do that."

"Why not?"

"He's my friend, Kei. Can you just get along with him?"

"Get along with him? Seriously?"

"I mean, why not? He's not doing anything bad, he's actually kind. You're just being an asshole, Kei."

He scoffed. "You're not getting my point."

"What's your point, then?"

He pressed his lips together before speaking. "I don't like his face."

I rolled my eyes. God.

"He looks like a fucking--" He paused, giving a slight groan. "Just fucking send that dude out--"

"Nika."

Kei and I turned our heads and saw Haruto standing by the entrance of the kitchen. He looked at us for a second before he smiled. "Uh, hi, Keisuke--"

"I said it's Baji, you fu--"

I nudged Kei with my elbow and good thing he immediately shut his mouth. This guy!

I forced a smile and looked at Haruto. "Do you want something to eat?"

"Uhm, no," he said, shaking his head. "I just want to inform you that I am leaving now."

He said his cousin had texted him and he was needed in their apartment. He needed to feed Sachi, too. I thought one of the actual reasons why Haruto left early was that he felt uncomfortable and intimidated with Kei's presence. This asshole's been looking at him the whole time like he wanted to punch his face.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes. Don't worry, I will visit again."

"Aight, the door's right there," Kei said, jerking his head to the door's direction. "Help yourself."
