Chapter 7: Let the truth be told (updated)

The rest of the day we decided to stay with Ashton as long as we could.
Calum was the first to go because his parents get mad if he stays out too late. Michael soon followed after.

My mom had called and told me I could stay as long as I needed.
Ashton had his head resting on my shoulder.

"Ash I need to get home it's almost 1 in the morning, but I don't want to leave you alone."
"It's fine go home you need sleep."
"No, I refuse to leave you alone."
"Well what do you want to do your mum isn't going to let you stay here."
"Do you think your mom is going to let you stay at mine?"
"I don't know I guess."
"Okay well let's go."

Ashton wrote a note and was hoping his mom wasn't going to be to mad.
It was kind of dark but we brought a flashlight.
When we got to my house we went up to my room.
Ashton slept on my bed and I slept on the floor which was fine.

-6:00-

I woke up and asked Ash to leave the room and get breakfast while I get ready.
I also told him there was an extra toothbrush in the cabinet in the bathroom.
When I got done getting ready I went to join him downstairs.
We sat in comfortable silence and got ready to leave.
When we were walking I could see Luke out of the corner of my eye.

He put his head down and kept walking.

"Thanks for everything, really."
"Ash you're one of my best friends and I don't know what I would do without you."

He smiled and we kept walking.
Once we got in we were greeted by Calum and Michael.

"Hi."
"Hey," they both said.
"So has Luke said anything to you?" asked Calum.
"No, you?"
"Yeah he wants to talk to you after school."
"Oh, I guess I'll go."
"Do you want us to go?" asked Michael.
"No I can do this on my own."
"Fine."

I stood at the doors awaiting Luke's arrival.
He came around the corner and greeted me.

"Hi."
"Hey."
"Um so you wanted to talk."
"Yeah, Alison I really like you and you make me feel some kind of way. I don't want to lose you. I'm stupid to ever try to hurt you."

"Luke I- you've been avoiding me this whole week."
"I know and I'm sorry, I am. I just don't think I can handle the rejection. There's no way you could feel the same, ya know with you and Michael being together now."
"The thing about that Luke is, I do feel the same," I let out a long sigh. "Plus Michael and I aren't even actually together. I just did it to make you jealous."

He let out a little laugh.
"I kinda figured. I mean Michael over me? Really?"
I playfully punched him and he continued to giggle. All I could think was how right this all felt.

"So does this make us-"
"Will you be my girlfriend, Alison Marks?"
"Of course Luke Hemmings," I said with a smile.

We walked out holding each other's hands.

Alison's House

"So honey how was school?"
"You'll be glad to know that I have a boyfriend."
"Who?"
"Luke."
"Yay! My baby girl has her first boyfriend!" she hugged me tightly.
"Haha okay mom clam down," I said while laughing.

I walked upstairs with a smile on my face. I wanted to tell Lilly and Alex about this so I Skyped them.

"Hey Alison," they both said.
"Hey guys, I have some news," you could hear the excitement in my voice.
"Us too, but you go first."
"I have a boyfriend!"
"Eek! Who is he," asked Lilly. Alex rolled his eyes but had a smile on his face

"Luke the guy I told you about."
"Oh him, I thought you guys were mad at each other?"
"Yeah," I stammered, "It's a whole thing but we both were both at fault and we apologized."
"Well is he cute at least?"
"Yeah I'd definitely say so. So what's your news."
"Well, Alex and I are going out," she said quickly.
My jaw dropped.

"Haha," Alex had the biggest smile on his face. He was even blushing.
"I always knew you guys were meant to be."
"Yeah," they both turned and kissed.
"Ew right here?" I said with a laugh.

They chuckled and blushed.

"Honey Luke's here!"
"Oh got to go before my mom embarrasses me."
"Haha,bye," they both waved goodbye.

I ran downstairs to meet Luke.

"Hey," I said as I kissed him on the cheek.
"Hi, so do you want to record?"
"Yeah."

We both ran upstairs and got everything set up.

"I was looking through the comments and they want to see more of Michael."
"I'll call him over."
"I think he's mad at me still."
"Please that boy has the emotions of a kitten. One second angry next second he wants to play and give love. He'll be fine."

I called Michael and he said he was coming over in 12.
We discussed what song we should do and we practiced it.
I heard the doorbell ring and I went to open it.
Michael told me he was going to bring Calum so they both stood at the door.

"Hey."
"Hey."
"Hi," Calum interjected.

"We're all set upstairs."
"Okay, so me, Calum, and you are playing guitar and singing?"
"Yep and Luke is lead vocals."
"Luke?" Michael and Calum said at once.
"So what's going on between you two?" asked Calum.

"Well, were kind of dating now."
"The 360 turn around between you two is crazy." Michael rolled his eyes while I stood there nervously rubbing my arm.

Finally he looked me in the eyes, "But yay my little Ali has a boyfriend," he exclaimed as he picked me up and spun me around.
"Thank God, I'm over this love triangle bullshit," Calum threw his hands up and walked through the door.
"Language, Calum!" My mom exclaimed from the kitchen.
"Oh shit," Calum murmured," Sorry Mrs. Marks!"

We all laughed as we made our way upstair and sat down with Luke. As we tuned our guitars we decided on a song.

It has been 11 minutes since we posted our video.
We already have 100 comments.
They all consisted of, 'Alison's so pretty'
'Can Luke marry me?'
'I love Michael's fringe!'
'That Calum guy looks really hot'
And a lot of 'you guys should make a band!'

Michael was reading them all out to us.

"Hey guys what if we did start a band?" Michael questioned as he took a seat on my bed.

"That be cool, but I have fútbol." Calum turned to Michael.
"Yeah, but it does sound cool," Luke said.
"Yeah," Michael seemed really excited about this.
"What about when fútbols over?" he suggested

"Well about that, I kind of got asked to go to Brazil to represent Australia."
"Oh my god Cal that's great!" I went over to hug him.
"Haha I know right."
"So when are you leaving?" Luke asked.
"Next month."
"How come you didn't tell us earlier?" I asked.

"I wanted to keep it a surprise."
"Sorry I ruined it."
"It's fine, I'm kind of sad about it though."
"Why?"
"Cause this singing and playing guitar stuff is really fun."

"Cal this is much more important than doing covers. You could become a fútbol star!"
