Chapter 20: Formal (updated)

Michael's door to his room was closed but we could hear soft sobs.

"Michael," I whispered and the door quickly opened. His smile dropped once he saw Luke.
"So I guess you're with him now?" He walked in so we followed.
"Michael-"
"Ali just make up your mind! First you want to date Luke then he breaks up with you so you date me and now what? you're back with him?"

"Michael I like you but I don't want to be your girlfriend."
"But Luke's a dick you told me-"
"Yes I know what I said but you have to understand."
"Bu-but I love you."
"No you don't you love the idea of us," I grabbed his hand and sat beside him. "Michael I don't want our friendship to end over some stupid romance shit. So please can we just find a way to move on."
"Fine," he huffed. I hugged him tight.

"Why'd you cheat on her, Mike?" Luke interrupted.
"I was stupid. God I feel like a shit head just because I don't have a reason."
"Mikey it's okay it's all over now." he shook his head up and down.
"Now formal is in 2 days so we're all going together, as a big group of friends."
"I'll call Ash and Cal to tell them." Michael pulled out his phone and dialed their numbers.

"Hey Ash is Calum with you?"
"Yeah why?"
"We've all decided to go to formal...together. so do you want to go?"

"Okay when do you guys want to meet up?"
"About an hour before it starts."
"Okay see you then, bye."
"Bye."

Michael hug up the phone and fell to the bed.

"Sleepover?" I asked , too tired to walk home.
"Sure."

When I woke up Michael and Luke were out of the room, probably eating or something.
I decided to call Luke's mom so she could pick me up so I could get ready.
I walked downstairs and saw Michael and Luke eating cereal.

"Good morning."
"Morning," they both said.
"I have to leave soon, thanks for letting us spend the night."
"No problem."

Liz arrived a couple minutes after and I thanked her about a million times.
I watched tv and ate until I actually started doing something.

I'd forgotten that my dress was in my mothers closet.
Liz went back to sleep so I snuck out the back door.

My window was closed but I knew if you jiggled it then it would open.
There was a vine that led up to it so I climbed it, hoping I was being quiet. When I finally got in I opened the door and it let out a creak.

My moms door was open so I snuck in.

My mom was suppose to be here.
She was going to take a picture of the boys and me to have forever.
She was going to help me do my hair. Hell I can't even put it in a braid.
I just shook my head along with the tears away and grabbed my dress.

I scrambled to get out the window and I ran to the gate.
I shut the gate and turned around. Right behind me was Ben and Mali.

"Ahh-"
"Shhh." Ben put his hand over my mouth.
"Come on." Mali grabbed my dress and led me to a car. Inside was Jack. What the fu-

"Don't just stand there get in." Jack honked and I jumped in.
"Um I think this counts as kidnap." Mali laughed and Ben rolled his eyes.
"Not really, Liz knows." if Liz knew then I know I'm safe.
"Then where exactly are we going?"
"Malis' house."

"For what?"
"To do your hair and makeup of course." A giant smile grew on my face.

I was so lucky to find friends like this. We arrived at Malis' house quicker than I expected.
She literally dragged me out and ran to her room.
She then pushed me into a chair and pulled out all her makeup and hair stuff.
Jack and Ben came in and sat on the bed.
Jacks job was to hold the mirror and Bens was hair.

"And done. Jack the mirror please." he put it in front of me and i opened my eyes.
"Wow."
"Do you like it ?" She smiled.
"Yes!!"
"Now go put on your dress. If you need help just shout." I nodded and went into the bathroom.

When I was finally finished and I opened the door.
Jack, Ben, and Mali's jaws dropped at the same time.

"Oh my god you look freaking beautiful."
"Thank you." I blushed.
"No problem, I'd do anything for my sister." Sister, I've never had one of those.

"Okay come on let's go." Jack ushered to the door so we wouldn't be late.

Ben opened the door and we walked out.
Again I thanked Mali.
When we got back I rushed to my room hoping Luke wouldn't see me so it would be a surprise.
But of course it wasn't, on my way I bumped into Luke making us both fall.

"Sorry-woah." I blushed.
"What."
"You look.... amazing."
"Thanks." he helped me up and we stared at each other.
"Luke come on I'm helping you for formal." Ben grabbed him by the collar, dragging him to their room.
"What?"

"Yep now let's go."

Once Luke was finished we both came downstairs and Liz took pictures.

"Ali you look so pretty I'm sure your mom would be so happy to see these."
"Mom." Luke said through gritted teeth.
"It's fine Luke, I'm okay ." he nodded and we continued.

A couple minutes later the door rang.
It was Ashton, Calum, and Michael.

"Wow Alison you look stunning," Ashton said as Calum's mouth dropped.
"Close your mouth or you'll catch flies." Calum shook his head and shut his mouth.
"Damn Ali you look beautiful."
"Don't thank me thank Mali she's the one who did this."

"Come on kids I have pictures to take."Liz smiled and took more.

Before we left Andy had a talk with the boys about treating a lady and safe sex.
Wow that was so funny to watch.
Ashton drove us and when we arrived he went to hang out with more of the seniors.
Michael, Luke, Calum, and I walked around.
From behind me came my friend Jenna.

"Hey Alison, you look very pretty tonight."
"Thanks so do you."
"Thank you, hi Calum, Michael, and Luke."
"Hi." they all said.
"So I heard you guys are going on a tour around Sydney."
"Yep, it's going to be amazing."
"Well you guys have fun, sorry I gotta go my boyfriends waiting for me." I nodded and with that she ran off.
"So should we dance?"
