Chapter 9: Camping!! (updated)

"Yeah I'm fine."

Michael got out a couple hours later and we were sitting by the campfire.
He smelt a lot better then he did earlier but he did smell of tomatoes.

"Let's sing a song shall we?" Calum suggested.
"Yeah," we all agreed.
"You kids do that Mr.Hood and I need some rest."
"Goodnight."
"Goodnight loves." she hugged us all an kissed our foreheads.

They walked off and we sat there trying to decided on a song.

"Oh I have an idea, Teenage Dirtbag," Calum called out.

We all nodded in agreement.
Mali started tapping on the log.
Luke brought a guitar and he started playing.
We all started off the song.

"That was amazing," Michael said holding his hands up.
"It was you guys are really good." said Mali.
"We're good? You are amazing," I replied.
"Haha you're funny, well goodnight guys."
"Bye," we all waved.

Once Mali got into her tent Michael leaned in close.

"Guys lets go through the woods to the lake maybe The Loch Ness Monster is there."
"Are you stupid? We could die," I said.
"We'll be fine, just bring a flashlight."
"I'm in, unless Ali's too scared," Calum joked.
"I am not in fact I will lead."

"Um I think I'll go to bed."
"Oh come on Hemmings don't be a wuss," said Michael.
"I'll hold your hand," I added.
"Fine, only so I can protect you."
"Mhm, come on let's go we're wasting time."

We all got up and walked away very quietly.
Calum led cause he knew where the lake was.

"Just to clear it up Ali, I'm not scared."
"Oh shut up Hemmings," I lend in and kissed him.
"Ew, stop that lovey dovey crap," complained Calum.
"Nope," I kissed Luke even longer that time. You could see his cheeks were bright red.

Michael just rolled his eyes playfully while Calum continued to bicker with us.
I just laughed and kissed Luke more.

We pushed Calum in the water.

"Agha!"

We all laughed until we started tearing up.

"Ali come help me out please."

I walked over to Calum hesitantly but I know he's not going to push me in right?
Wrong.

"AHHH, Calum you dumb ass."
"I'll help you out Ali," oh Luke didn't know what he was doing did he.

I grabbed his hand and pulled him in with me.
Michael soon jumped in after him.
We splashed each other.
That's when Michael went under the water.
We stayed still.

"Michael?"
"Agh something has my foot!"
"Loch Ness Monster!" Calum and I screamed.
"Luke I'm coming to help you."

When I was swimming over Michael plopped out of the water.
He nearly gave me a heart attack.
This boy was going to be the death of me.

"What the hell Michael?!"
"Haha, you guys should've seen your faces. And I thought you said he wasn't real or in Aus."
"Whatever come on guys lets go."
"Oh but Ali the fun has only begun." said Michael.

Michael led us through the woods to a open area.

"What are we doing?"
"Tag you're it!" Michael said running away and so did the other boys.
"What are we 5?"
"Yep now come on chase us."

I ran after them.
Luke being well Luke, was hiding behind a tree.
But he saw me before I could get to him.
Calum was out of sight.
Michael was running in circles around the field like an idiot.
I ran over to him but then Luke came by his side and Michael bolted off.

Luke was looking after Michael cause he was looking for where he went.

"Kiss tag!" I said as I kissed him than ran away.
"What oh, hey!"

I was running by a tree and a hand grabbed me.

"Ag-"

"Sshh. Come on I have something to show you." it was Michael.

He led me over to a tree.

"What are we doing here?"
"There's this tree here that Calum, Luke, Ash, and I have signed every year we came here."
"How long have you been coming here?"
"I started joining Calums' family every year since I was 11"

I ran my fingers over the initials carved deep into the oak. Luke and Calum came running over to us.

"What are we doing?" Luke's eyebrow raised.
"Adding our fifth member to the tree," Michael grinned ear to ear as he passed me a sharp rock.

I signed my name right next to Lukes, even added a little tally mark at the bottom. 5 tally marks.

Michael put his arm around my shoulder, then I did that to Luke, and Calum did it to Michael.

"You guys have to be the best thing to ever happen to me."
"Aw," they all said
"Oh shut up."

We walked back to camp.
Luckily everyone was asleep.
Luke made me sleep in the same one as him cause Michael snores and Calum fidgets in his sleep.
I fell asleep quickly.
