Chapter 24: Bring Me Back (updated)

High school was a living hell right now.
All I wanted to do was make music.
That's all I ever want to do.
I had the chance.

"Alison come on you have to get over this you can't change the past so it's better to live in the present."

Alex said as he picked up his slice of pizza.

"You don't understand."

I sighed and got up to throw my trash away.
As always I walked to my same boring class to learn the same boring things.
The boys never called.
I think they forgot about me.
Doesn't matter anyways.

Their tour was starting in 3 months.
I wasn't apart of that tour.
While I was tapping me pencil on my desk waiting for my classmates to get here my teacher received a phone call.

"Alison, grab your things and head to the office."

I didn't understand what was going on but hey at least I'm getting out of school.

When I got down my dad sat with a lady.
I cleared my throat to signal I had entered the room.
They both got up and walked out with me.
Who was this lady who has been getting all cozy with my dad?

"Hello Alison."

How the hell did she know my name?

"Hi."

I tried to act polite I really did.

Once we got home I pulled my dad to the side.

"Who is she."
"My girlfriend."
"Girlfriend?"
"Yes her name is Missy she's a very nice lady I'm sure you'll love her."
"Yeah okay."

I walked up to my room closing the door rather loudly.
Missy came into my room and sat on my bed.

"Can I help you?"
"Your dad told me your story, I'm really sorry."

My story?

"My story?"
"Yeah you know with your step dad then you moving and meeting those boys and your mom-"

"I don't want to talk about it."

She just looked at me with sad eyes and walked out.
I don't like becoming close to people because in the end nothing ever works out.
All I wanted to do was curl up in a ball and slowly fade away.

~Tomorrow~

I woke up to my phone going off wondering who the hell was calling me at this time of the night.

"Hello?"
"Alison?"

Who is this?
Wait.

"CALUM!"
"Ha hey we've missed you."
"Holy balls I've missed you guys too how has it been."
"Um not too good."

"What do you mean?"
"Michael and Luke have been keeping to themselves lately and Ashton barley talks anymore."
"Are you with them?"

"Yeah we're banding, I don't think Luke wants to talk to you he's really hurting he doesn't even know I'm calling."
"Oh well then let me talk to Ashton and Michael."

I heard muffles and a loud squeak let out by I'm assuming Michael.

"Michael?"
"Alison, fuck I've missed you well we all have. The band isn't complete without you."
"Trust me if there was any way I could come back I would do it in a heartbeat but I-"

"Who's that?"

I heard in the background.
Luke.

"No one."
"Alison?"

"Hey Luke.
"Hi."
"I miss you, a lot."

"I-I miss you too."
"I want so badly to come back, I wish I was beside you."
"Everyday I feel a little bit further away."
"Don't let us end up as close as strangers, please."

"Never."
"Well it's late I'm going to get back to sleep I love you guys, one day we'll all be together."
