ch 6: tears (updated)

Monday

Everyday Luke would wait for me outside of my house, but today he didn't.
I remember Luke saying that he was going to school today.
Not thinking much of it I continued walking to school.
When I was walking inside I bumped into Michael.

"Oh hey Alison."
"Hi."
"So how's it been?"
"Good i guess. but urm, have you seen Luke he wasn't there this morning."
"He's over there with his girlfriend Haslen."

My head turned to see Luke kissing that girl.
For some reason I got this burning, aching feeling inside.

"Are you okay?"
"Yeah, just cramps. I uh- I'll catch up to you later."

Quickly I rushed towards the bathroom.
I really did think maybe Luke sort of liked me, I guess not.
Right now I really wanted to cry but there was nothing to cry about.
Luke is 16 and can do what he wants. I don't even like him why did he make me feel this way? So i shook my head and collected myself. As I was walking out I bumped into Luke.

"Hey watch where you're going."
"Sorry Luke."
"How do you know my name?"

Off in the background I saw Michael, Calum, and Ashton's head turn.

"Um what?" I said with a laugh.

He rolled his eyes and grabbed Haslen's hand.
They walked off.
Now I did feel like crying. Ashton, Michael, and Calum rushed to my side.

"Alison are you okay?" asked Calum.
"He just blew me off."
"That ass," said Michael.
"How could he after yesterday?"
"What happened yesterday?" asked Ashton.
"I comforted him after all that shit went down with his grandma."
"I'll talk to him," said Calum.

"No I'll go and kick his ass," said Michael.
"No don't if he wants to act that way to impress that girl then fine. But I want nothing to do with him."
"We're your friends still, so if you need anything tell us," said Ashton.
"Thanks. Can you guys come over later?"
They all nodded their heads in agreement

I walked off but I was stopped in my tracks by a girl who's name is Louise.

"So I see Luke is going out with that new girl."
"Yeah and?"
"Aren't you mad that your boyfriend doesn't care about you anymore?"
"He's not my boyfriend."
"Sure but I would be hurt when my friend blows me off like im nothing." she said as she walked away.

I wanted to punch someone or something, but I know that violence is never a solution.
The whole day I wanted to just scream when anyone would remind me that Luke has a girlfriend.

Just like this morning I walked home alone. Michael, Ashton, and Calum were coming over after Calum was done with soccer practice.
I stormed inside still mad at Luke.

My mom heard me come in and rushed towards me.

"What's wrong?"
"Luke that's what's wrong!"
"What happened?"
"He acted like i was some- some freak because he has a girlfriend."
"Do you want me to tell his mother?"
"No! mom im not 6, i can handle this on my own"

I went up to my room and sat on my bed.
I needed to talk and I couldn't wait till 7 for them to come over.
The only other person I could think of was Alex and Lilly.
Even if they were mad at me I needed to talk to someone.
I walked over to my computer to Skype them.

They answered, "hello."
"It's you. did you come to apo-, why are you crying?" asked Lilly.
"My friend Luke he's being a total asshat over some girl."
"Why?" asked Alex.

"I don't know I just really needed to talk to someone."
"Don't you have your other friends?" asked Lilly.
"Does that really matter right now. Lilly, Alex I'm sorry I should've called you and instead I blew you off.."
