Chapter 18: Rethinking (updated)

I was sitting in Michael's room watching him play guitar. It was really soothing and it made me think, maybe I should've chosen Michael over Luke.
I must've been staring at Michael cause he laughed and nudged me.

"Oh yeah?"
"Stare much."
"Sorry," I blushed.
"Ha it's fine, you know Ali I really like you," he looked down and played with his hands.
"You know Michael I really like you too."
"Really?"
"Yeah," he smiled and kissed me. There was a knock on the door, it was Michael's mom.

"Mhm Michael."
"Oh sorry um mom is it okay if Ali stays here for a while."
"Of course she's always welcome here." Michael smiled and his mom walked out.
"That was embarrassing." I laughed.
"Yep."

{tomorrow}

Michael held my hand as we walked in. Ashton and Calum met up with us.
We decided to continue the tour but we needed a singer.

"Well Ali can sing." Calum said.
"Uh no I can't I suck."
"True I heard her sing in the shower this morning, it was terrible."
"Shut up Mikey," I playful hit him.
"How bout we just ask Luke back and we can just be friends," Ashton said.

Yeah I still hated Luke for what he said but I wasn't about to let him ruin my dream.

"Fine we can go ask him."
"Great and also I wrote a song," Calum fumbled around in his backpack and took out a sheet of paper.
"Ohh can I see it?"
"Um no, well not yet anyways."
"Fine," we walked over to Luke who stood by Haslen.
"Hey Luke."

"Hey Ali."
"It's Alison."
"Oh sorry," he looked down.
"Anyways the tour still on and we need you to sing for us."
"What?"

"Will you please sing for us."
"But I thought you hated me?"
"I do but I'm not going to let that get in the way of my dream, so will you do it or not?"
"Sure."
"Great we start tour in 2 days."

Michael grabbed my hand and I motioned the boys to follow.
We walked to music and continued our day

I had my lunch and I was making my way to our table.
A hand grabbed mine and dragged me to the side.

"Ahh what the hell."
"Sorry didn't mean to scare you Ali I mean Alison."
"Okay now what do you want?"
"What's going on with you and Michael?"
"Why should you care we aren't dating remember?"
"I'm just wondering."
"Well stop cause it's none of your business, now if you'll excuse me my friends and boyfriend are waiting."

I walked off leaving Luke wondering.

{Luke's POV}

Boyfriend!
I mean I knew Michael liked Ali but I didn't think they'd actually get together.
Wait no!

Alison and I aren't even dating anymore so it shouldn't matter.
Right?
Right.
I realized I was just standing there looking like an idiot so I quickly went to go find Haslen.
She was standing by her friend talking about girl things I guess.

"Hey Has."
"Oh hey Luke."
"Whatcha doing?"
"Just thinking about the formal this Friday."
"Oh really."
"Yep," she smiled, basically saying she was waiting for me to ask her.
"Well I assume you still don't have a date?"

"Yep."
"Great well then will you go to the formal with me?"
"Of course." she hugged me then kissed me.
"Ugh you guys are so gross," her friend Rose said.

I smiled and turned to go get my lunch. When I turned I saw Ali laughing at some joke Michael told.
She never laughed like that with me. That sparkle she had in her eyes, I never saw when she was with me. Maybe Michael was better, for Ali and for everyone else.
I was rethinking the whole formal thing.
I didn't want to go with Haslen I just wanted to go with Ali.
