Chapter 16: Crash (updated)

-The next day-

Alisons POV

I was moving things to Luke's house all through the night so I didn't really have time for sleep.
My mom was getting ready to leave and I wanted to say goodbye but I was fighting to keep my eyes open.

"Ali," she held out her arms and I wrapped mine around her waist.
"I'm going to miss you."
"I'm going to miss you too, but I know they're going to take good care of you."
"You're making it sound like you're dropping me off at an orphanage."

"Oops sorry," she laughed, "well we should really get going."

She walked me over to Lukes and stopped at his front door. She put my cheeks in her hands while she looked into my eyes. I could see them glaze over with tears. Even though I'd see her again soon I still hadn't been away from mother longer than a week.

"Okay, okay I've got a plane to catch. I love you. Be safe, call me every day. Don't do anything I would do." She kissed me on the forehead one last time and engulfed me in her arms. I felt so safe.

"I love you," I whispered into her chest. She pulled away and began walking to her car.

Liz opened the door, waving goodbye to my mother.

"Ali, dear you've stayed up all night you must be tired," Liz put her hand on my shoulder.
I yawned," Yeah I am."

It was 7 o'clock in the afternoon when I woke up.
I was thirsty so I headed downstairs for a drink.
There was crying coming from the living room.
It was Liz I could tell. Luke, Jack, Ben, and her husband were sitting besides her.

"What's going on," they all turned to me, Liz got up and cried while hugging me.
"Honey your mother, her-her plane crashed...there were no survivors."

My whole world felt like it was crashing around me.
Tears rushed out of my eyes. Liz hugged me again but I gently pushed her off.
Luke got up and put his hand on my shoulder as I turned away.

I was mad and sad at the same time. She said she'd see me soon but that was a lie. I sprinted out the door.
Truth be told I never have a certain place I'm going.
I just kind of run till I feel as if I'm far away from everything.Without notice it began down-pouring.

Before I knew it my feet stopped at a front door. I rang the doorbell praying he'd answer, which he did.

"Ali-what happened." Michael rubbed his eyes.
"M-my moms I."
"Come inside I'll get you some dry clothes and we can talk." He grabbed my hand and closed the door behind me.

I stood by his door waiting for him to come back.
He brought basketball shorts and a Green Day shirt down.
He passed it to me and showed me the bathroom.
The clothes were kind of big on me but I didn't really care.
When I came out Mikey was sitting at the table with some water.
I sat down and started explaining everything to him.

"And she lied to me Michael, she said she was going to come back but she's not. She lied!" I grabbed my hair and pulled it.
"Alison you need to calm down. She never meant for this to happen. Don't blame this on her."
"It should've been me too."
"What."

"I should've went too and died with her."
"Ali don't even think about stuff like that. You know how many people would miss you. Alison I'd probably wouldn't make it a day without you. You don't understand the kind of stuff you do to me. You've shown me a whole other side of me that I never knew was there. You've helped me make friends that I'll have forever. So if you'd die I'll waste my whole life just thinking of what it was like when you were alive."

I stared into his green eyes.
Without thinking I kissed him.
It wasn't a kiss that lasted for 2 seconds no it lasted for a while.
Accidentally his hand brushed against my butt.
Then it hit me I'm dating Luke, I love Luke and would die if he ever found out.
I pushed Michael away.

"What?"
"No no, Michael we can't do this I'm dating Luke, I love Luke I can't hurt him."
"There you go again, everything is about Luke."
"Excuse me?"

"You know what just leave and go back to Luke."
"Are you seriously getting mad about this."
"I've liked you longer the first day I laid eyes on you I was put into a trance. But just because Luke has the looks and is a smooth he gets the girl every single time."

"What do you mean every single time."
"I had a girlfriend named Jenna but she left me to be with Luke, that's why I always hated Luke."
"Michael I just don't feel the same way I'm sorry."
"Whatever just leave," he looked down.
"I'm sorry." I walked out and didn't look back.

I was just walking now, trying to rethink everything that's been happening.
What's going to happen now.
I contemplated on going back to Luke's house but I didn't know.
Right now I wanted to curl up in a ball and hide in the corner away from everyone.
