The whole flight to Bucharest you texted Bucky, pleading with him to call you. The whole world was after him and he was utterly alone so you knew he would revert to the only thing he knew how to do. Survive. The first thing he probably would of  done is ditch his phone in a river so Tony couldn't track it but it didn't stop you from sending him texts.

B- i know this wasn't you. Let me help you.

"I don't know what we're going to be getting ourselves into but we all need to be prepared that this might not be Bucky." Steve looked down to you while you sat in a jump seat.

Even though your mind was on Bucky you couldn't help but let small slivers of worry come through by you getting in the plane with Steve you put yourself on a list, a list that if Tony caught you he could turn you into the UN for being in violation of the accords. You might just spend the rest of your life on the run, for the first time you in your life were thinking without logic and with your heart.

When your phone buzzed you nearly jumped out of your own skin but instead of seeing Bucky's name on the screen it read Tony.

You need to come back now.

I can't. I'm sorry dad.

You are walking into a very dangerous situation and I can't help you.

Shouldn't of signed the accords then.

Switching your phone into do not disturb mode you forced it back into your pocket. You were in an impossible situation, you loved Bucky and would go to the ends of the earth for him but you were also loyal to your father, a father you wanted your entire life. All you knew for sure was you needed to help prove an innocent man.

"I'm going to engage him, Sam I want you on the roof taking watch and y/n wait outside." Steve looked at you and Sam.

"Wait outside?" You scoffed. "No, I'm going in."

"If he runs I want him to run into you." Steve looked down to you understanding your frustration but he had a point. Bucky would run and you could catch him.

  The building was run down, possibly an old safe house Bucky had used during his time as the Winter Solider you stood a half a block up hidden behind a few trash cans waiting for Steve's signal.

As you waited unmarked armored SUVs peeled up to the building as a special forces team started heading into the building.

"We have a situation outside." You pressed into the coms moving up the street to get a better view.

"German special forces captain you've got three minutes before breach." Sam moved around the roof while you waited counting down on your watch.

Thats when your heard the gun fire. You ran towards the building not caring what you were coming into as glass burst above you and you watched as Bucky jump onto another roof top.

"On the roof!" You shouted into coms running along the street.

Heart racing you pushed through the traffic as you ran after Bucky. Sirens blared through the streets as you took cover letting the cars pass you, you didn't want to lead them straight to Bucky. Once the sirens started to fade you came out to see three small figures jump down into an underpass as you made your way up it.
