Bucky held onto you for the entire night. He watched you chest slowly rise up and down as you slept peacefully. He had so many emotions over you confession to him, you were only twenty five years old and you carried the weight of the world around with you on a daily basis. Carried the burdens of others, even some of the weight of his own at times and during all that you remained moral and grounded. Keeping the code a secret and living your entire life to find a cure for your mother.

Not for a second was he concerned that you would use the code against him. You were too good not like him at all.

You were noble and your unwavering loyalty had almost gotten you killed.

Stirring underneath him you were surprised when you woke to Bucky's arms still around you, usually when he stayed the night he was gone by morning but this time he was exactly where he was when you fell asleep. You smiled into his chest as he kissed the top of your head and whispered. "Good morning."

"Morning, what time is it?" You groaned with aching muscles as you body reminded you of the day before. The sun peaked through you curtains but it hidden fully raise yet telling you it was before dawn.

"It's early. You can get some more sleep if you want I'm not going anywhere."

"No it's alright i'm awake."

A light knock at your bedroom door made Bucky tense as if he was ready for Hydra to bust through the door, you knew he would be on alert with you for a long time, everyone would. Tony peaked his head into your bedroom and his eyes darted to Bucky with a glare right away. Picking up on the tension in the room you were confused immediately, obviously things that transpired between the two of them that you didn't know about.

"Hey B I would kill for a cup of coffee. Do you mind?" You sweetly asked him trying to break their staring contest they were having.

"Of course doll." Bucky planted a meaningful kiss to the top of your head before climbing out of the bed.

Tony came fully into the room as Bucky left it holding a vase of sunflowers.

"I didn't know what kind you liked-" Tony started awkwardly as he made his way to your bed. Tony was never awkward like this.

"They're lovely Tony thank you. Listen I'm sorry about all that-." You started but Tony cut you off. You felt guilty that the Avengers had to come save you and they were involved in your drama from your past.

"You have nothing to apologize for. If anyone should be apologizing it's me, I haven't exactly been honest with you." Tony sat down at the edge of the bed and shifted awkwardly. "I just need to say that- uh, Jesus why is this so difficult?" Tony abruptly stood up and began pacing the room.

"Tony I just escape capture from Hydra and my mother's gone what earth shattering news could you give me now that will shock me?" You laughed that's really the only emotion you had left was to laugh.

"I knew your mother in college." Tony looked at you.

"Yea, she mentioned that she thought she knew you, you both went to MIT what's your point?" You knew that they had both graduated from there but you never really thought about them knowing each other, off the top of your head they must of graduated around the same time based off their ages and that they were both in the gifted programs there. But everyone knew Tony Stark's name.

"We were uh friendly," Tony awkwardly continued. "I didn't know y/n, I uh found out when uh." Tony desperately stared at you hoping you'd put the puzzle pieces together but they just weren't clicking you were too wrapped up in the fact that Tony was stuttered over his words was entertaining to you.
