FIVE YEARS AFTER SNAP

The blip is what everyone called it. You still referred to it as hell. It seemed no matter how many bad guys you took out more sprouted up in their place. So you decided to quit going for the little man in these terrorist organizations and go straight for the head. That's how you found yourself in Venice at a little cafe enjoying espresso watching the heads of two organizations have a business breakfast. Little did they know that you were ready to cause a scene in the middle of the tourist streets.

That was until your view got covered up by a blue T shirt. As you started to cuss out the tourist in your way he sat down across from you allowing you a better view of his face.

Steve Rogers had finally come for you.

"What are you doing y/n?" He asked signaling the waiter for a cup of coffee.

"Your job Steve. What are you doing?" You scoffed back.

"We may have found-." Steve started struggling to meet your eyes.

"Don't give me hope if there isn't any Cap." You waved your hand at the waiter for the bill before shoving a wad of cash inside. "I can't let myself go there again."

Steve understood, it wasn't just Bucky you lost. The friends who had become family that you and Bucky had created in Wakanda were all gone. Every bit of stability that you had craved your entire life was gone. In seconds.

"You know Morgan is five now and asks about her big sister?" Steve knew this would stop you from leaving.

"You saw her?" You had only seen her from afar but you always sent her gifts from all over world on every holiday. You might not of been there but you wanted her to know that you thought about her daily.

"Yea, she told me her sister is a hero." Steve let it sink in. "One last mission, let's bring them home."

Fighting back tears you looked up to Steve choking out the words. "Whatever it takes."

This wasn't just for you. It was for Morgan, she deserved to know all the heroes. She deserved life at it's fullest.

You were ready to accept whatever came next, you knew it was time to come home and move forward. Acceptance, the final stage of grief.
