Kaz Brekker walked towards the plaza, a little goat in his arms curious as to what the commotion is all about through his beady eyes, where the voice of General Zlatan was coming from speaking in front of many Ravkans, urging a war to brew.
"Now is the time to form our own country, to keep what we make and what we earn instead of sending it to the east. For the true Ravka!" The General raised his fist and therefore many cheers and loud shouts were heard around Kaz Brekker as he saw the General go down the stage to shake hands with the looks of it, some important people and Arken. Their conductor.

Inej, Arken, and Kaz finally arrived in front of the shadow fold. There was hesitation at first from both of them when they saw the landmines sign warning them not to continue their steps, paradoxically, made by Arken himself.
"So goat, jurda... thank you." Arken said as Inej handed him the jurda she was tasked to get.
"Now we're just waiting on..." Aken's voice cannot be compared to the loud yells and shouts that interrupted his sentence.
"Wait!" Senia's voice echoed around the silent place.
"Senia! Wait for me!" Jesper shouted running after the Grisha as multiple men fired gunshots at them from behind.
"Leave the lantern!"
"Landmines!" both Senia and Jesper shouted looking back and forth hurriedly to where Inej is and at their backs to the men chasing them.
Kaz groaned as he boarded the train. "Come on, both of you." Inej finally closed the door as multiple shouts were heard outside.
"I am never! never again trusting you Jesper!" Senia angrily shouted but Jesper only huffed when he saw the sneer on Senia's pale lips.
"Please tell me you have at least 20 pounds of alabaster coal." Arken asked when they got situated inside the train.
"Slight snag in the plan. Turns out that the kid who I asked to-"
Senia snorted which earned her a light smack at the back of her head from Jesper.
"We know you gambled it away." Kaz looked at Jesper ready to murder his friend at that moment.
"I lost a little bit of the money."
Senia looked at Jesper intently and tapped just a bit of his thoughts with the help of manipulating different chemical compounds in his brain and the calmness Senia extruded towards Jesper.
