"Plan F. Stay on the target and meet at the palace route." Kaz hurriedly said to Inej while looking at Senia who had gone ahead of them to clear the path of any suspicious Grishas.
"He's an Inferni. Don't take chances." Inej warned Kaz leaving him to follow Senia's figure.

Kaz followed Senia through hallways and both came inside what seemed to be the palace's church.
Senia looked back and motioned for Kaz to follow her hiding in the shadows. Senia heard the heartbeat of a man entering the place they were in, guessing it was the Inferni that saw them a while ago with Alina.
Senia slowly placed her hands in Kaz's, breathing heavily out of fear.
"You're like a wounded spider in my house. You know what my sister and I do to spiders?" The Inferni continued to hop on top of seats not noticing Kaz quietly coming his way as he swayed at the Inferni making the injured man lay down on the floor and whimpering in pain.
"Unlike a spider, I only need one good leg. You...look like you need both hands" Kaz stepped on the Inferni's left arm to hinder it from using his abilities and further damaging his hands.
Screams of the Inferni was heard when Senia stepped out of the shadows and moved her hands, soothing and lessening both their animosity for each other while she got to Kaz and urged him to just move away, their backs turned to the Inferni.
"I see you're not alone, and a traitor to her own. You're a shame to Grisha." The Inferni manipulated the fire from the candles beside him using his remaining intact hand to control it and was about to throw it in their direction. However, the Inferni dropped on the ground again his fire dying down and a familiar knife pierced at the back of his head. Inej standing from the higher floor with regret, shock, and fear on her eyes.
She jumped down to their floor to look at what she'd done. She looked at Senia who wears an unreadable expression on her face and at Kaz that has a shocked look but it quickly fades into nothingness.
"We need to go." Kaz was the only one who moved.
"I...I killed him."
"Inej, look at me. You saved my life. Get your Saint and let's go."
They hurriedly moved away from the dead Inferni when they heard voices incoming.
