Chapter 1

*Alex's P.O.V*

Is this really happening right now? Like for real? Matt had just asked me to move to Georgia and live with him. He's asking me to move in with him.

"Wait, you're serious?" I asked, still shocked plastered on my face.

He nodded. "I'm serious. I want you to live with me in Georgia. I found a place that is near my parents house. I'll love to share that apartment with you."

"Is that what you were taking care of yesterday? To make sure that it was all ready to go?" I asked, still making sure that this was still real.

"Yeah. I had to talk to the real estate agent. He has it all booked. All that needs to happen now is for you to give me an answer and then you prepare to move in with me if you want to."

I don't even know what to say. I completely wasn't expecting this.

But then again, I absolutely had no idea. My friends and I couldn't figure it out.

"Can you at least give me the chance to talk it out with Kayleb and Ellie? They should be here soon. Or at least, let me tell them the news. But know this..." I started to say and grabbed his hands. "My answer is yes."

Matt smiled big as he heard my answer and then he planted a big kiss on my lips.

He wasn't wrong when he said that our journey was just beginning. I'm going to be moving in with him. I'm so full of joy.

We pulled away from the kiss and we were just looking at each other with love in our eyes.

"This moment is so perfect." Matt said and then he said something else.

Matt then added. "You wanna head back to your house now? I'm sure they'll be here soon."

"Yeah, that'll be a good idea." I said.

Well, it was time to go back to my house.

Which will soon be my childhood house. I never thought that I would have to say that.

So we've only been at my house for ten minutes before the doorbell rang. I have a feeling I know who that can be.

I walked to the front door and opened it and there were my two best friends with stuff in their hands.

"We're here." Ellie shouted for herself and Kayleb.

They came into the house and they saw Matt there. They went over to him and gave him a hug.

"Happy Birthday, man." Kayleb said to him.

"Thank you guys." He said and then Ellie had said Happy Birthday to Matt as well.

As I was watching this all happen, I didn't know whether or not I wanted to be happy or sad. Since, this could be the last time that I would see my best friends because I was planning on moving out of California and living in Georgia.

I don't even know what to think.

It was suddenly quiet and I didn't even notice that the three of them were staring at me.

"Alex, what's wrong?" Kayleb asked.

"Huh?" I asked.

"You look like you're about to cry." Ellie said.

Did I really look like I was about to cry? I didn't even notice. Maybe I had a sad look on my face as I watched my best friends and boyfriend exchange words and hugs.

"Don't worry about it." I laughed nervously.

I saw Matt give me a look and then I gave him a look back. He knows that I would have to talk to Kayleb and Ellie about this.
