*Alex's P.O.V*

I was currently at work and have been trying to reach Matt. I haven't talked to him for at least two days and it makes me worried. Everything that I've tried hasn't worked. I'm so stressed and frustrated at this point.

I know where he's at but I'm scared to drive by there in case he doesn't do anything.

But for now, I have to focus on what I have to do. Today, I wasn't working in the back. I was going to be restocking anything that had to be restocked. Something that I've seen Kayleb do a lot of times.

I was fixing some of the stuff in the makeup aisle when I heard someone calling my name.

It was Garrett.

"What do you need, Garrett?" I asked him.

I haven't even talked to Garrett the past two days only because of the fact that I'm kind of getting the feeling that the reason why Matt isn't around me right now is because of Garrett. But also because of the fact that Garrett found out that Matt is my boyfriend and he hasn't said anything about it. This is the first time in a few days.

"I'm trying to find a way to talk to you."

I shook my head. "Garrett, I'm busy working. Something you need to get back to doing."

The look on his face tells me that he wants to try and talk to me. But like, I don't want to talk right now because I'm working.

"It's important." Garrett said.

"Just like every other conversation we've ever had? I questioned. "Usually whatever we talk about, it's not that serious."

"What's with the attitude?" Garrett was taken back.

"I already told you. I'm working and you should get back to working too before you get into trouble."

"Steve isn't going to do anything." Garrett said and he continued to look at me.

"What are you supposed to be doing?"

"You didn't tell me that you had a boyfriend." He changed the subject.

I rolled my eyes. He really wants to have this conversation right now. I really don't feel like it.

I looked at him. "That was something that I didn't feel like I needed to tell you."

"You should've at least told me you had a boyfriend before I had tried anything."

"Excuse me?" I asked. "Usually, when you meet a new person, the first thing that comes out of their mouth isn't something along the lines of, "Hey, I have a boyfriend," why would I need to say that to you?"

"You can't blame this on me now, Alex. You were just making it seem like you didn't have a boyfriend."

I closed my eyes to try and calm myself down. "I'm sorry, Garrett. Next time, I'll have a t-shirt with the words, "I have a boyfriend" on the front so that everyone knows."

Where did my sarcasm come from? Excellent question, it came from Kayleb.

"There's no need for that." Garrett shook his head.

"And there's no need for us to be talking right now when we should be working. I'll see you when it's lunch break."

That was the last thing I said before he began to walk away. I sighed and then went back to restocking the makeup.

I had no idea that working at a place like Target would be so hard sometimes.

When I was finished with the makeup, I went to another place of the store where I wouldn't be seen by other coworkers. I just had to check my phone real quick. I went to Kayleb's instagram and I checked his instagram story because he had posted on it. When I click on it, it shows that he's about to be at work too. He must be working a little early today.
