*Matt's P.O.V*
It's been almost a month since I proposed to Alex. It still seems like yesterday where I got down on one knee and asked her to marry me. The past three weeks have been full of good times and a bit of planning.
On the same day that we got engaged, we got back home and damn, let me tell you, we celebrated the hell of the engagement.
Meaning yes, we had sex and it was a really great time.
Just thinking back to that day where we got engaged and the fun, sexy time that we had once we got home was special. Our life is full of special moments.
With the planning, we haven't gone to that extent of looking at where we want to marry yet or the venue. But we've picked the colors and had given some thought on when the wedding should happen.
My parents have given us some advice about weddings. My parents were happy to find out that Alex and I were engaged and can't wait to see what happens next in our life. Alex also let her parents know about the engagement and they were ecstatic.
Her best friends, Kayleb and Ellie were excited as well. I think Alex told me that Ellie cried when she found out. Kayleb was happy for the both of us and can't wait for the day.
We're all pretty excited right now.
The colors for our wedding were yellow and white.
We've been thinking about maybe having a spring wedding and yellow is a beautiful color to represent spring. The two colors clash great together and I think it will be absolutely amazing.
Alex thinks the same.
Pretty soon, we'll have to decide on where we want to have the wedding. It's a hard decision because weddings are a big part of people's lives and it will definitely be a big part of mine and Alex's life.
I think that is where we will struggle the most.
We could get married at a park. Since we've had our first date at one, got engaged at one and would it make sense if we got married at a park? Or should we get married at a church?
It's hard to be honest.
But anyway, I'm currently at the store. We needed to buy more food because the past few days, we've been eating out or just ordering chinese takeout. So I made sure to get the necessities like bread, milk and eggs. Then I grabbed some more pasta boxes, rice, some chicken and steak. I made sure to get some chips or cookies because we don't have a lot of snacks at our house.
Plus, I made sure to get a box of muffins because I've been wanting muffins lately.
While I was grabbing some pancake mix, I felt a nudge from my cart and I looked up to see Garrett standing in front of me.
"Hey man, how have you been? It seems like it's been ages since we've seen each other." He said.
And he's not wrong. It's probably been a couple of months since the last time that I saw him. We go to the same university but we don't have the same schedule so we don't see each other on campus.
"It's been good." I said and then put the pancake mix in the cart. "What about you?"
"College and work is kicking my ass. You know, the usual." He laughed.
I chuckled. "Still working part time?"
"Yeah." He nodded. "But I think the manager, Steve, will be letting me work full time again. It depends on the time."
"I know since Alex has been saying the same thing. There's a chance that she could be working full time again. I know that once she finishes college, she wouldn't be working at Target that much because then she would try to get a job at the vet."
