Chapter 32

*Matt's P.O.V*

"Are you about ready to go?" I asked Alex as I went to our shared room.

We were currently getting ready to go to my parent's house for a BBQ. It was just going to be the family meaning my parents, my sisters, Macsen, and then Alex and myself. They figured that the dinner could happen because it's been almost two weeks since Alex and I have been there.

Alex and I have been busy with work. With Alex now working at the vet with two months in, she's been more busy. Plus with me, I've been offered a role on a new tv show. So I've been on set every now and then.

The past two months have been full of craziness. But we're doing the best that we can.

And plus, today happens to be the weekend and we didn't have plans so we're going to my parent's house for dinner.

"Yeah, I'm ready." Alex said, coming out of the bathroom.

Alex was wearing light blue jeans with a black and white striped shirt.

"I'm going to go and get Jasper real quick." I said and then went to the backyard door to bring him inside.

We were going to bring Jasper with us so that he can get some fresh air but also see the family again. He loves being around people. I made sure that Jasper's food was packed and then put his leash on his collar.

Then after that, he was all ready to go as well.

"Is he good?" Alex asked, looking at Jasper.

I nodded. "Yeah, he's all packed."

"Let's get going or else we'll be late."

We both walked out of the front door and I made sure to lock it before we went to our car. Jasper already has one of his beds in the car and he went to lay on that in the back of the car. I set his food in the back and then I got into the driver's seat.

Alex was already  in the passenger's seat. I made sure that we were all set and then I started the engine and then we were off to my parents house.

We don't live far from my parent's house so we made it there in time. It only took about fifteen minutes.

I parked on the side of the road and then we got out of the car. Jasper jumped out of the car as soon as I grabbed his leash and food. Then the three of us walked to the front door.

Alex rang the doorbell and then we waited for a few seconds. The door opened to reveal Macsen.

"I thought you guys were going to be late or something." He said.

"Why would you think that?" I asked, confused.

"Well because you guys are married now. I thought you guys would've been busy with other particular activities."

As soon as that came out of his mouth, I knew what he meant. Oh my god, my brother has a mind of its own. He loves to tease us.

"For your information.." Alex started to say. "You don't need to know what kind of activities that we do."

Macsen gave her a look. "Do you want me to bring up what had happened last month?"

Then that was when Alex's face dropped. Since she knew what he was talking about. What he means by that is when he had planned on coming over to our house. When he got there, he unfortunately heard the activities that we were doing. He only heard it for a few minutes before he made a loud noise to let us know that he was at our house.

So if anything, he knows what kind of activities that we do.

"I've heard the noises, Alex. So trust me, I know." Macsen chuckled before he let the two of us inside the house.
