*Matt's P.O.V*
"How long are we going to be in New Jersey?" Macsen asked me as I was watching him pack his suitcase.
"Well.." I started to say as I was folding some of his clothes. "We leave tomorrow, which is Friday, and then the convention is this weekend. We're most likely leaving on Monday so three days at the most."
Macsen groaned. "I've never been good with this whole packing thing."
"Or a travel thing."
Our flight was early in the morning and soon enough, in a couple of hours, we would have to head to bed and then go to the airport. Alex is here as well, she's just with Madison and MacKenzie at the moment. Doing what you may ask? I don't know.
The past few days have been really relaxing to the point where things were okay again. Alex and I are stronger than ever. Plus, Garrett even apologized for his behavior. I keep thinking back to that.
It surprised me that Garrett wanted to apologize. But hey, it was a start where we could be cool with each other.
|Flashback to three days ago|
"What are you doing here?" I asked Garrett, when I had opened the front door to mine and Alex's apartment.
"I came here to apologize for the way that I've been acting."
My eyes widened. Did I hear that correctly?
Garrett seemed to have been waiting for me to let him in so I did just that and then we sat down on the couch in the living room. I now waited for him to say something.
"Matt, you have every right to possibly think that I'm competition for Alex with you. But I'm not. I know that I may have been obvious with what I was thinking when Alex and I would hang out and you know this too. You've seen it when I was here having dinner with you guys. But trust me, I'm not a bad guy." Garrett explained.
"I don't appreciate the fact that you were flirting with my girlfriend." I told him, straight to the point.
"Trust me, I wasn't trying."
I was taken back. "You weren't trying? You knew exactly what you were doing when you were here having dinner with us. Hell, you even insulted my acting job."
"I'm sorry that I did that. I wasn't thinking." Garrett said.
Of course, he wasn't thinking. He was around Alex so he just says what he thinks is right when it isn't.
"I want us to have a fresh start, Matt." Garrett told me. "I don't want there to be any bad blood between us. We can try to be friends for the sake of Alex. Since she and I work at the same place and she lives here with you."
"What makes you think that we can get along?" I asked.
"There's nothing wrong with trying."
"So you're really sorry for what had happened. Even with how you acted like a jerk to Alex?" I asked.
Garrett nodded. "I don't want to cause any trouble, man. I promise."
He didn't need to say the last part.
In reality, I'm sure Garrett doesn't want to cause any harm. He seems like a friendly person but the reason why I got jealous is because he was starting to like Alex and maybe he was planning on stealing her away from me. Madison helped me a lot when figuring this all out.
But I'm also willing to put what Garrett did in the past and we could start fresh and be friends.
"Okay." I nodded. "We could be friends. Plus, I wanna say I'm sorry if I sounded cold when you first met me."
