Chapter 16

*Matt's P.O.V*

"How was New Jersey?" Mom had asked me as I went to visit her while I was already out of the house.

"It was amazing." I nodded. "I love getting the chance to meet fans at conventions. I know I have another convention in a few months."

"That's nice." Mom said. "Did Alex have a good time?"

I nodded. "She absolutely loved it. We made some more memories together and those memories will forever be remembered."

It's only been a few days since we've come back to Georgia after being in New Jersey. Alex and I spent some time at the apartment whether it was watching tv or napping for the most part. We've been able to have a few days to relax.

"Is Alex at work?" Mom asked.

"Yeah, and I'll have to pick her up later today when she finishes her shift."

I took a sip of the soda that I had that was right in front of me. I've also been super tired since coming back from New Jersey so I've been trying to stay awake all day.

"Matt, if you're tired, you can take a nap before you go and pick up Alex." Mom said.

I shook my head. "I'm scared thinking that if I fall asleep now then I won't wake up in time to pick her up."

"If you're still asleep by the time that you have to pick her up then Madison or myself can pick her up."

"I can't ask you to do that." I said.

My mom gave me a look. "Matthew Lintz, I know how tired you are. Go take a nap."

At this point, it's not the best idea to go against my mother when she tells me to do something. So now I know that I have to go and take a nap.

"Okay, mom. I'll go and take a nap."

She smiled at me. As I was beginning to head to my room, I heard her calling me.

"What time does Alex get off work?" She asked.

I turned back around. "She gets off at 5."

Walking into my room, I laid myself down on the bed and looked up at the ceiling. The past few days have been completely chaotic. With the whole convention and all. New Jersey was a blast.

When it was day two of the convention, I didn't have a panel so I spent all of day two meeting fans and occasional conversations with Alex when fans weren't at my autograph booth.

Alex and I are now public, which means we have the free will of posting pictures if we wanted to. Alex already had done it.

Now it seems like it's my turn.

So before I would go and take a nap, I would go and post a picture on Instagram.

I looked through my camera roll and found one of Alex and I when we were hanging out with Macsen. He was the one that took this picture. We were at the park and it's funny how in this picture, I was also giving her a piggyback ride. We were staring at each other with big smiles on our faces. It's one of my favorite pictures of us and I knew it had to be the one that I would post.

I posted the picture with the caption being 'my forever partner in crime' with a red heart.

I smiled just seeing the picture being posted. I, of course, made sure that I tagged Alex in the post as well.

There's something special about that picture. Again, maybe because it's one of my favorites.

With the picture now posted, I set my phone down on the bedside table by my bed and I got ready to take a nap.
