Chapter 18

*Matt's P.O.V*

Today was going to be a special day. I had it all planned out. I was going to spoil the hell out of Alex today and have the alone time that we so badly need because it seems like it's been awhile since we had actual alone time.

Like sure, we've had some moments together when we would kiss and we had airport sex but the kind of alone time where it's just the two of us and we're having fun.

So to start the day off, I made some breakfast for her. Eggs, breakfast sausage, chocolate chip pancakes. I added a cup of orange juice and then carried the tray to our shared bedroom.

While getting inside the room, I set the tray of food down on the bedside table and then I got onto the bed to wake her up.

"Alex, baby." I said. "It's time to wake up."

She slowly moved. "I don't want to."

I chuckled and then rubbed her arm, softly. "I made you breakfast."

She sat up quickly after a few seconds and looked at me.

I laughed. "Good morning, beautiful."

"Good morning, handsome." She said and then she gave me a kiss.

After the kiss, I turned around and grabbed the food and then gave it to her. She was smiling when she saw the food. She totally wasn't expecting this.

"This is so sweet, babe."

I smiled. "I wanted to treat you today."

"But what for?" She asked.

"Just for you being amazing. Today is all about you and me."

"Aww, babe. You're amazing." She said and gave me another kiss before she started to eat the breakfast.

I just watched her eat breakfast. She was really enjoying it and I'm glad that she was. It's some of her favorite breakfast foods.

"Do you want some?" Alex asked.

I shook my head. "It's okay, I made sure to eat some breakfast before I came and brought you your breakfast."

She continued to eat the food.

Then I said something else to her. "When you finish your breakfast, I have another surprise for you."

"Another surprise?"

I nodded. "And I think you'll love it."

"Now I'm curious to find out what it is." She said all excitedly and that made me smile some more.

The surprise that I'm about to give her is something that we have talked about before even though it's been awhile since we've talked about it. We've talked about it before I had asked her to move in with me.

She finished her breakfast and she was now waiting patiently for her next surprise.

"I'll go and get your next surprise." I said and then left the room.

The surprise that I had for her was in the living room. I went to get this surprise early in the morning so that she would have no idea. Once the surprise was in my arms, I went to our bedroom door.

"Babe, close your eyes." I told her.

"Okay." I heard her say. "They're closed."

I walked into the room with the surprise in my hands and then I sat back down on our bed. Then I put the surprise on the bed.

"Open them, babe." I then said.

She opened her eyes and when she saw the surprise, she was so shocked. She completely wasn't expecting this surprise. You would think that she was super surprised by the breakfast I made her, she was more surprised about what is on our bed.
