Nai's POV
It's now the last day of high-school and I am beyond excited to finally be done with it. I am currently living in Hartford which is a beautiful city but I'm more excited for New York. I'm taking a break for a year before rushing into college as I wanna explore a little and my parents were more than happy to let me and cannot wait for me to move to New York next week to attend a fashion design course.
It's 8 in the morning and I just put on my outfit. I'm wearing high waisted black leggings with an oversized "California " sweatshirt.
I head downstairs to grab breakfast when I see my bestfriend already stuffing her face with cereal. Victoria has been my bestfriend since forever and I am literally so grateful to have her in my life. I see her as she's dressed in a tight black skirt, a crop top, knee high boots and a jacket. Damn she looks stunning.
"OH MY GOD" she screams
"damn Vic it's 8 in the morning stop screaming" I said covering my ears
"please tell me you're not wearing that" she frowned
"oh come on, no one cares plus it's comfy"
I say pouring myself some coffee
"fine whatever... I'm so excited to finally be done with this hellhole, oh and also we are going shopping after school to get you know clothes for 'NEWW YOORRRKKKKK'" Vic screams and starts singing
"haha Vic chill" I let out a faint laugh
"bish why are you so sad" she asks
I don't know why I am this sad. I was so excited but I am gonna leave behind my whole life. My best friend, my parents. I'm just not ready yet.
"I'm not sad it's just that, I'm gonna miss you so much" I let a tear slide down my cheeck
"oh Nai I'm gonna miss you too babe" pulling me into a hug she starts crying too
"now now beautiful let's go get to school" I nod following her out of my house.

The bell rang for the last time and just then everyone in the class started screaming in joy. Everyone hugging each other, crowded hallways. So many people coming up to me to sign their yearbooks, it was until today that I realized how many people actually know me. Just as I am about to sit in my car a muscular arm caught me by my waist. I knew exactly who it was.
"CARTERRRR" I screamed pulling him in for a hug
Carter is also one of my best friends. We have been se close and he's always been so protective about me. Everyone tells me he likes me but I just ignore them as I would never wanna risk my friendship with him.
"Leaving so soon?" he questions before gently releasing me from his hold
"I was supposed to meet up with vic but she's nowhere to be seen. So I thought I'd grab some food. I'm. starving"
He looks behind me and says "speak of the devil"
"who the fuck are you calling a devil you man whore" vic screams walking towards us
We all laugh as she comes and hugs both of us.
" SOOOO BITCHES WHATS THE PLAN" vic says pulling out her flask
"please do not tell me you have been drinking" I say pulling the flask from her "without me" I continued and took a sip from the flask. I loved how the alcohol burned my throat
"okay since you two are drinking I'm driving. Let's get some food" Carter says taking the keys from me.
"OH PLAY KISS ME MORE BY DOJA CAT AND SZA" Vic screams from the back seat and I do exactly what she says.
The three of us start screaming and singing along the song.
