Chapter 44

Morten had asked to look through the photos I'd taken with Charlie and Lewis. I also showed him the one's I'd taken out on our walk, especially the ones of Chris and Dodger. He hadn't said anything other a few mmhmm's. My palms were so sweaty and my heart felt like it was beating out of my chest. I was so out of my comfort zone it was untrue. Chris just sat on the other side of the trailer looking expectant.

'Well Lucy, I have to say, these are rather good', Morten finally said. I let out the breath I hadn't realised I'd been holding.

'So, what do you think to her doing the PR shots Morten?', Chris asked with a hopeful look on his face.

'I will obviously have to approve them, and we'll have to run them by the network and some other people, but if Lucy is willing to take the shots, I'm happy for her to do them. If you would like to?'

I couldn't believe my ears. I was being offered a job of taking PR shots for an upcoming TV show.

'Umm, yes, that would be wonderful, thank you so much for the opportunity', I said managing not to trip over my own words. Chris was just sat there with a big grin on his face. 'I've only got my camera though, I haven't got any equipment that would normally be used on these types of shots. Will that still work?', I asked.

'I'm sure we've got some equipment you can borrow. I'll get Allen to get it setup. Now if you'll excuse me I'll go and speak with Michelle and check Jaeden is still on his way', he said as he got up and exited Chris' trailer.

'OH MY GOD!', I said as Chris got up and flung his arms around me and lifted me in the air.

'I knew he'd be impressed Luce!', he said spinning me round.

'Put me down you lunatic, I'll vom on you!', I said giggling as he brought me back down to earth. 'I can't believe this is happening! And it's all because of your faith in me! Thank you Chris', I said placing a hand either side of his face and kissing him deeply.

'What's that for?', he asked as I pulled my lips away from his.

'What's that for? It's my way of saying thank you. For now!', I said giving him a wink.

'Oh really, would you like to elaborate?', he asked kissing my face and making his way down to my neck.

'Very much so, but not now! I need to focus', I said stopping him from pulling my jacket off my shoulders, and making him chuckle.

'Ok, I'll leave you alone. For now', he said returning my wink. 'What can I do to help?', he asked.

'Well, can you show me where the photos are going to be taken and you need to check if you'll be needed in makeup again. I'd imagine they'll want to touch you up a little.'

'That'll be happening later Luce', he said raising an eyebrow and giving me a sexy grin.

'Oh behave Evans', I said tapping him on his arm and picking up my camera making my way out of the trailer. 'Shit Chris, this is HUGE!'

'I know, but I have every faith in you darlin'. They're gonna be amazing photos. You just wait and see.'

We made our way outside and Chris found the little studio setup for the photoshoot. It had already been setup ready for the other photographer so there wasn't much more I needed to do. Morten had been true to his word and left some lights and reflector stands out. There were two backdrops to use. Just a plain black one and one with steps and a backdrop of a house, presumably the house from the story.

'Hello again', we both turned to see Michelle head towards us with a warm smile on her face. 'I believe you are going to be taking our photos? I'm so sorry we've had to rush this, I just have to fly home tomorrow.'
