We carried on kissing each other, with the sound of Friends in the background. I felt like a teenager. Messing around with a boy on the sofa. But this wasn't any boy, this was Chris Evans. One of the sweetest men I'd ever met.

It was evident that we were getting worked up (if you get what I mean ;) ) and as much as I wanted to take things further, I wasn't prepared to cross that line. Yet.

I pulled away, putting my hands on his shoulders and met my eyes with his. He did one of his famous 'make anyone weak in the knees' smiles and I grinned back at him. He quirked his eyebrow at me so I smacked his arm and scooted off his lap and took up my seat next to him.

'You ok?' he asked stretching his arm out behind me on the back of the sofa and adjusting his jeans.

'Yeah I'm fine', I answered. Yes I was incredibly turned on, but as much as I fancied the absolute pants off him I didn't want to rush things. If there was even the smallest chance that this could lead to something then there would be plenty of time.

'You sure?' he asked giving my shoulder a squeeze.

'Positive', I said. 'I just don't want to rush things.' I added honestly.

'Me neither', he answered. I was quite taken aback. I knew I was quite inexperienced in the dating game considering I'd just come out of a long term relationship and had one short lived romance before that, so I just assumed that everyone moved faster than I did. I was also painfully aware that Chris could probably get any woman he wanted.

'I really like you Lucy', he added turning his body to face me with one leg tucked under the other up on the sofa and looking very serious.

'I really like you too Chris', I replied. 'And I can't wait to come and visit you in Boston, I've always wanted to visit different parts of America.'

'Have you?' he asked looking interested as he tucked a piece of my hair behind my ear.

'Yeah definitely. I'd love to visit LA as I'd do anything to see the Hollywood sign and the walk of fame where all the stars are cos you know how big a film buff I am. Then I'd like to see New York and then go along the East Coast to see places like New Hampshire. Some friends of mine came over from New Hampshire quite a few years ago who were from Manchester.'

'Well you never know what the future will hold Miss Taylor', he said with a twinkle in his eyes.

'What are you up to Evans?' I asked looking quizzically at him.

'Nothing, just saying you never know what will happen', he answered smiling to himself.

'So as soon as you give me the dates I'm booking the time off and booking my flights. I'll deserve a bit of a break after all this training. I can't believe you've invited me over to spend time with you in Boston, it's wild!' I said my eyes going big.

'Well I'd love to show you round my hometown. I've got a place in LA but if I can, I try and stay in Boston as much as possible as I like being near my family.'

'I'd love to be close to my family', I said as I finished my beer. 'I've got a big family but we're not close at all.

'Well you're very welcome to meet my family when you come over.' he suggested looking at me expectantly.

'Your family?!' I asked feeling the panic set it. 'You want me to meet your family? Chris are you serious?!'

'Why not? I'm sure they'd love to meet you. They don't bite!' he said. 'I've already told Ma about you.' he added.

'You have huh?' I asked scooting a little closer to him.

'Yeah. I tell her pretty much everything.' he said with a shrug.

'Well I can't say I've not told people about you. Well I've told my 2 best friends. I daren't tell my Mum or Dad. They'd go mental at me if they knew I'd planned to meet up with someone I'd spoken to on the Internet. Doesn't matter who you are I'm afraid!'

'Are they a bit protective?' he asked draining his beer.

'Very much so. But I think that's just a parent thing isnt it? Cos I'm their only child I think it sometimes make them even more so though. Their little girl. At 34!'

'Are you gonna tell them about Boston?' he asked looking expectant.

'Yeah course I will. Do you honestly think I'd be able to leave the country without telling them? Dude, I have to ring them if I travel further than 30 minutes!' I answered laughing at the end making Chris grin.

My phone suddenly dinged and predictably it was a text off my Mum checking I was ok. Chris leaned over and put his head on my shoulder while I quickly tapped a response to her.

'Ok done', I said craning my neck to see him leaning on me. 'You tired?' I asked.

'A little', he answered stifling a yawn.

'Come on, we can go up if you'd like?' I offered standing up and offering my hand to help him up.

'Luce, you sure it's ok if I stay? I don't mind calling a cab?' he said looking bashful.

'Yes I'm sure, and plus it's a taxi not a cab', I said grinning as he took my hand. I pulled to drag him up but he didn't budge and I ended up falling over and straight into his lap.

'Hey', I said looking up into his eyes as he held me tight against his chest.

'Hey', he said leaning down agonisingly slowly to place a kiss on my lips. He moved his left hand to the back of my head bringing me in close while his right hand stayed firmly on my waist holding me in place. I brought up my left hand and ran it through his hair as my right hand stroked his back through his t-shirt.

'Come on, let's go up.' I said breaking the kiss and standing up holding my hand out once more. He took my hand and heaved himself off the sofa. I turned the TV off while Chris grabbed the empty beer bottles and pizza box and took them in the kitchen. I checked the front door and turned all the lights off and went to go up the stairs with Chris at my heels. I felt incredibly nervous.
