Jackie glared at the door with his arms crossed. Anti thought it was funny and snickered softly to himself.
Apparently Jackie could tell Anti was doing this and looked down on him with a serious look, "Shut up"
Anti stuck his tongue out at him making a face and Jackie shoved him lightly, messing up his hair.
The child yipped, "Hey! It took Chase forever to get my hair somewhat neat! You wanna put all that work to waste!?"
Jackie snorted, "Sorry Anti, but there's no way in hell your hair will ever get brushed neat. It's a certified static shit-show"
"That's rude"
"Fine. It's a mess. That what you wanted?"
Anti tried flattening his hair down with his hands but as Jackie thought, it wasn't working.
Henrik witnessed the interaction and hummed to himself, "Vhy are you so concerned about your hair right now?"
Anti grumbled, "I'm not . . .I just know Chase was freaking out about it earlier."
'He's still in the bathroom' Jameson signed, "Poor fellow has anxiety'
"I would, too if I was him" Marvin chuckled, "His ex wife is coming back for a second time to drop off his kids but it's gonna be even MORE obvious on how much she likes his brother more than she ever liked HIM. That and he's never really had any good luck. Remember the last time they were here?"
Jackie glared at Marvin, effectively making him shut up.
"They should be here by now" Anti huffed, "What time were they supposed to-"
"ELEVEN THIRTY A.M.!" Chase hollered from the banister upstairs, "Why aren't they here yet!?"
He ran down the stairs almost falling on his face but ran to the front door staring through the peep hole, "She didn't forget, did she?"
'About coming to see Jackie? Not a chance' Jameson thought he was so funny.
But before anyone could say anything, Chase bounced up and down like a fucking Golden Retriever, "FUCK! THEY'RE HERE! QUICK! EVERYONE SHUT UP!!"
"Geez, calm down Chase" Marvin tried not to sound too harsh, "They were just here the other weekend"
"And it's been too long!" Chase ripped open the door, running out to greet them . . or rather . . . the kids.
Jackie sighed and grumbled to himself, "Here we go. Wish me luck"
Anti more or less got into character, too, "Chase's ex wife isn't gonna be my new mommy, is she?"
Jackie slowly looked down at him and quickly ruffled his hair again, fucking it all up.
"JACKIE!"
"It's dad, to you"
"Rrrrrrrrrrrgh!" Anti tried desperately to get the frizz out of his hair but it didn't work.
He could hear out in the drive way how the kids shrieked seeing their dad, all excited and barely able to contain themselves. And then he could hear Chase, too, barely able to contain HISSELF.
Again, he found himself getting a little jealous just like the last time except now . . . it was even more pronounced.
'But I WANTED this, right? I need to act cute alongside them. Be like the children. Act like the children and they'll remember and see how cute I am like this'
Anti psyched himself up ready to throw away his pride when the kids rushed inside alongside Chase, big smiles on all their faces.
Kallie was the first to see him, "ANDY! I MISSED YOU!" she bolted over almost too fast to hug him.
