TimeSkip: 2 Weeks Later
Iwaizumi's Pov:
"I'm nervous Me-chan what if we fail?"
"We won't fail, all we have to do is answer their question honestly, give them our documents, and give them a tour of our place."
"Yeah but-"
"But~ Our home is clean and we have no bad records."
"You're right."
I gave him a peck. We were waiting on the adoption lady. We sat down on the couch and decided to watch something random that was T.V at the time. Suddenly were heard the bell ring. Tooru held his breath and I rubbed his back. He grabbed the folder with all our documents and I went to go open the door. He turned the T.V off and I unlocked the door.
"Hello, is this the Iwaizumi residence?"
"Yes it is, please come in."
She smiled at me and walked inside. She looked around and I closed the door. Tooru bowed at her and she smiled at him.
"M-may I show you around."
"Yes you may."
Tooru showed her around our house. When they both got back she sat on the couch and cleared her throat. She took out her papers and put on her glasses.
"Well my name is Dr. Tamashiro, I will be the social worker deciding whether you two will be able to adopt."
"Hello Dr. Tamashiro, I'm Tooru and this is my husband, Hajime." She smiled and shook both of our hands. She cleared her throat and brought out a pin. She faced Tooru and looked at her paper.
"Tell me a bit about yourself." Tooru nodded and took a deep breath. I stayed quiet since it was obvious she was talking to Tooru.
"I enjoy playing volleyball, I'm an omega, and I've recently became number 2 in state's best setter." Tamashiro hummed and wrote something down on her paper.
"I see you enjoy volleyball is that a hobby or is that your career?"
"It started off as a hobby, than quickly became my career."
"I see." Tooru become less nervous as he's done this multiple of times.
"Tell me about your marriage and how your relationship is with your significant other?"
"Well we have full trust and loyalty for each other. Um we've been dating since our 3rd year of high school and got married two years ago on April 20th." She smiled at the both of us and wrote something down on her paper.
"What is your relationship with your parents?"
"My father is rarely in my life... um my mother is very caring, she's always cared about my feelings, but she does enforce rules."
Tamashiro wrote something down on her paper again and fixed her glasses.
"May I have you're files please?" Tooru grabbed the folder and handed her, his files. She looked threw them and opened her binder. She put his papers in her binder.
"Why do you want to adopt?" Tooru dreaded this question, he glanced at me and gulped.
"D-due to infertility issues, we are not able to have biological children." Tooru said sadly. Tamashiro looked at the both of us then wrote on her paper again. When she finished writing she turned to me and asked me the exact same questions. When I answered them, she got up and looked inside our house. We had Sakusa come over and clean/babyproof our house, for this.
When she was done she stood by the door and we both got up.
"In about 3-5 five months, you will receive mail explaining if you are legally able to adopt or not. But you both will receive your documents back in a week or so. Both of you have a blessed day."
"You too." We both said at the same time. I let her out and we watched her walk to her car. I closed the door and locked it. Tooru hugged me and squealed.
"We did so well, I hope we aced it."
"I'm sure we did."
"I can't wait 3-5 months, she might as well had said forever!!"
