TimeSkip: 6 Years Earlier (Mieko is 12)
Mieko's Pov:
"Be safe!"
"I will. Bye mom, bye dad!"
I walked out the door and started walking to the park. We were meeting up there then going to the museum. I didn't know Yukio liked museums. The museum was really like a zoo. But it was classified as a museum and there was a new Dinosaur exhibit. When I got to the park Yukio wasn't there.
I hummed and sat on a bench. I was waiting for Yukio for about 5 minutes until he got here. I smiled and got up from my seat.
"I was starting to think you wouldn't come."
"I would never bail on you. I just had to feed my baby sister before I left."
"Makes sense. Should we get going?" He nodded and we started walking to the museum. As we walked I remembered.
"Oh Yuki do you have the tickets?"
"Mhm!"
"Oh okay, I'm so excited for the dinosaur exhibit."
"Me too, I heard they have like videos and hands on things."
"So cool, I have a little bit of money we can stop at the cafe there."
"That's a good idea!"
"You sound excited haha."
"Of course I am, I get to spend the whole day with you at a museum without Miyuki-Sensei nagging us all day."
"True."
We kept talking about the different animals we wanted to go see. When we got there we gave the man our tickets and headed to the dinosaur exhibit. We walked around looking at the statues. We watched some videos and dung up some dinosaur bones.
"I think this is the neck."
"Oh then this must be it's leg."
"Yeah." I watched Yukio smile and my face started to feel hot. We left the dinosaur exhibit soon afterwards. We walked outside and looked at the bird exhibit. Then we looked at beavers. When we reached the cafe we decided to get some chips.
"Cheeto Puffs~"
"Delicious."
"Can we go to the butterfly exhibit?"
"Sure."
We went to the butterfly exhibit after eating out Cheeto Puffs. The butterflies seemed to really like Yukio. The were landed up him and he smiled. One landed on my finger and I giggled.
"I think the butterflies are attacking you Yuki."
"Nah I think the like me."
"You sure?"
"Yeah."
We left the butterfly exhibit the went to go look at the otters.
"Otters are so cute!"
"Yeah I know."
"Mieko what's your favorite animal?"
"White jaguars. They look so cool."
"Oooo I like otters."
"Maybe you can ask your mom for a pet otter?"
"I did she said no."
"Aww."
We started heading back when it turned 4 o'clock. We walked back to the park, and we talked about the things we saw. We made it back to the park and I saw Yukio blushing.
"Well I better get home, I'll see you to-" My eyes widened as Yukio pecked my lips with his own. My whole face got hot and I covered my face with my hand when he backed away. We stared at each other until he waved them started walking home. I was still blushing and I ran home embarrassed.
