TimeSkip: 1 Week Later
Mieko's Pov:
I heard a knock on my door and I let them come in. Mom smiled and sat on my bed. He had a water bottle and handed it to me. I opened it and started drinking it.
"So how you feeling big guy?"
"Better, much better actually."
"That's good, we need to do a little update talk."
"Update talk?"
"Yeah~ you know the talk, but updated."
"Agh, why right now?"
"Because you just went in rut and everything."
"But I already had this talk."
"Yeah but you were eight so we need an updated talk."
I pouted and blushed. Mom cleared his throat and looked around.
"So... have you had sex?"
"Nope."
"Boyfriend, Girlfriend?"
"Nope, nope."
"Crush?"
"Uhhh no?"
"Hmm, you sure?"
"Umm no."
"You don't know if you have a crush or not?"
"No..."
"You don't know if you like someone?"
"It's more confusing than you make it out to seem."
"I know that, who do you think you have a crush on."
"Yukio."
"Really, the person in question."
"The person in question? What did he do something something wrong?"
"No, no I had a feeling you and Yukio were dating or something."
"What- no, no we're just friends!"
"Just friends... I've said that one and look now I'm married to your father."
"EH-" I blushed and he looked away from Mom.
"So what caused you're rut anyways did it just happen out the blue?"
"No, um a teammate went into heat and I smelled it."
"Ah, do just the smell triggers it."
"I guess..."
"Well I guess that's it."
"That's it?"
"Yep, there's nothing more to talk about, unless..."
"Nope, you're right that's it."
"Alright." He got up and left my room. I put my hand on my forehead and sighed. I didn't tell him about the urge I had towards Yukio. Maybe it was because he was the only omega in the gym at that time or something but it felt so weird thinking those things towards someone who's been my friend for years. My phone started ringing, it was a call from Yukio, just the person I didn't want to talk to right now.
"Hello?"
"Mieko, are you alright?"
"Yeah I'm okay now. I think it's over."
"Ah, that's good. Setting to Kurikara-kun isn't the same."
"Ah, sorry sorry I'll be sure to get better soon."
"Good."
"I- wanted to say sorry... I yelled at you, I didn't mean to."
"No, it's fine. I understand. But everyone is talking about you."
"Why?"
"Everyone thought you were acting weird then you left over a week, so they thought it was sus."
"That's not fair, I'm sick cough cough." I heard him giggle and I smiled. We kept talking on the phone for a bit. He hung up since he had to watch his sister. I got out of bed and used the bathroom. I still felt a bit weird about Yukio, my mind was racing and I couldn't control my thoughts.
I grabbed some chips and went back to my bedroom to binge watch my favorite series on Netflix.
