Chapter 9: Be careful

Now that Asahi and I are finally okay, it became easier for me to face the day. Though I'm still having a hard time on how to make it up with Jeongwoo.

It's been two days since the last time I saw him. And I haven't talked to him after that. Not in Instagram or Facebook. He's also not active in his social media accounts. Making his friends worried about him. Especially Junkyu and Junghwan.

Though I really wanted to know how he's been doing, I am so shy to even send him a message. Plus we were out of town for two days to celebrate our examination so basically, I was busy too. And finally, I don't really know where to start.

Damn. It's still complicated.

"So, Starbucks or Galaxy Cafe?" Jungsoo asked. We're on a date right now. Girls only because Jaehyuk is a bummer. And he's probably out with some other girl. Or his boy friends. I don't know.

"How about Treasure Cafe?" I asked. "I heard from Abby that the hamburger there was great."

"Okay then we'll go there." Jungsoo said.

We go to Treasure Cafe. It was a nice and cozy coffee place. Perfect for relaxing and studying. The interior is colorful—filled with neon lights and living plants. I don't know how to explain it, I'm not really good at designs. But it is a beautiful place. The color combinations are a bit weird but it's amazingly pleasing to the eyes. We sit on the right corner, just beside their mini garden.

"I'll order. What's yours?" I asked Jungsoo who's still looking at the menu. I just noticed that she's wearning a flashy make up right now. Glitters in her eyes and her famous red lipstick. She's so gorgeous!

"Umm...Iced coffee with vanilla frosting and..Hamburgerrr!" She said like a kid.

"Alright. Be right back." I said.

I go to the counter to order. When I said my orders, the cashier told me to wait on the side. It's a self service cafe. And as I am waiting, someone approached me.

"Asami?" Said by a familiar voice. When I looked at the one who's talking, my heart sank instantly.

"Lu-lucas?" I stuttered.

Lucas smiled at me. He looks different now. He became taller and more handsome. But he still has that kind of boyish smile that can make the girls swoon over.

"Finally. I see you." I'm not sure what to react or say on that. I started to feel awkward and tensed. "How are you? Are you with someone right now?"

"Umm..I'm with Jungsoo." I said.

"Oh, I see. So how are you? You look really good." He said with a smile.

"Umm. I'm fine. Thanks. How about you? Why are you here? I thought you're in Las Vegas?" I asked.

"Oh yeah, I just visited my Mother here. I'll be back in Las Vegas next week." I heard he was a model there. I even saw him posting in different magazines. He finally achieved his dream.

"That's nice." I forced a smile. Why does my orders taking so long?

"Look, Asami. Can I talk to you alone?" He asked. I wasn't able to answer immediately. I mean, why? "I just...I just want to make it up to you. After what I've done in the past."

I pursed my lips into a straight line after he brought that topic up. I don't really know what to feel right now. He was my first love. And so was my first heartbreak. And one of the people who left a deep cut in my heart. How am I supposed to react now?
